"We have our own intelligence..." " ...that CONVINCES us."

You know if they found proof, that they'd fucking say it. These fuckers would have been up there in a heartbeat, "We have definitive proof that Hamas was using Al Shifa Hospital..." And then paraded around photos in a fucking press package. They didn't find shit, and they're too embarrassed to own up to the fact that they're supporting terrorists trying to fight other terrorists.

Not if presenting their evidence would make them lose an intelligence asset

If someone says that their intent is to look for X inside of Y, I highly doubt that announcing that you did indeed find X inside of Y would be a security risk.". If it was that sensitive, why even announce that they are looking for anything inside of anything?

They've already announced intent and described the purpose. The enemy will 100% know what was found, the only reason for obscurity is to keep a failure from going public,as not saying anything at all is only marginally worse than what they did.

You're making an awful lot of assumptions. There's a lot of potential explanations besides the one that you've landed on.

why even announce that they are looking for anything inside of anything?

Because attacking a protected location like a hospital without making such a declaration would turn public opinion against them, and is considered a violation of international law, which would complicate both diplomacy and the war effort.

Must be the same intelligence that had evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Why didn't they use the intelligence that predicted Russia was going to attack Ukraine? That one seems to work really well.

There wasn't any more of it in the jar.

"Trust us bro."

"We've never lied to you before."

"Especially about the Middle East."

What is it the US said when they implemented the surveillance act? "Nothing to hide, nothing to fear?"

Well, they're hiding something. So I guess they have something to fear. Might be the truth.

because there isn't any, just like the weapons of mass destruction

Isn't it funny that when we look at how the US handled intelligence assets in Ukraine and how it is handling them in Gaza?

In Ukraine they'd insta-post everything they had (and that's something good). Now out of the sudden no one is willing to post or elaborate on anything anymore.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

WASHINGTON, Nov 16 (Reuters) - The United States will not share any Israeli intelligence or elaborate on its own intelligence assessment that Hamas used Gaza's Al Shifa hospital as a command center and possibly as a storage facility, White House spokesman John Kirby said on Thursday.

The United States is confident in an assessment from its own intelligence agencies on Hamas activities in the Gaza facility, Kirby said.

About 11,500 people have been killed in Israel's retaliatory bombardments, according to health officials in Hamas-controlled Gaza.

"That's really for them to speak to, but as I said the other day, we're confident in our own intelligence assessment about how Hamas was using that hospital," Kirby said in a briefing.

Hamas militants were sheltering themselves in the hospital and using the facility as a shield against military action, placing patients and medical staff at risk, he said.

"We have our own intelligence that convinces us that Hamas was using al Shifa as a command and control node, and most likely as well as a storage facility.
