What do they mean by "fake arrow decals?" They're real arrow decals. Just not helpful ones.

[–] SternburgExport@feddit.de 60 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Some will even call those unofficial. I'd say they're fanmade.

Whats your favorite ship? Mine is Blahaj and trans people.

[–] IGuessThisIsForNSFW@yiffit.net 6 points 10 months ago

I made a pilgrimage to the promised land a few days ago and got my own!

[–] PM_ME_FAT_ENBIES@lib.lgbt 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

They're lying arrow decals. They're fakers.

[–] Chais@sh.itjust.works 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

That we can agree on. But they're real fakers.

[–] PM_ME_FAT_ENBIES@lib.lgbt 3 points 10 months ago

But that also makes them fake genuines

[–] JohnDClay@sh.itjust.works 60 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I'm pretty sure that's how you either create an SCP or no clip to the backrooms

[–] farent@lemmy.scam-mail.me 40 points 10 months ago

He's trying to summon SCP-3008

[–] tslnox@reddthat.com 4 points 10 months ago

That was my thought as well! :-D

[–] Blackout@kbin.social 41 points 10 months ago

Don't arrest him. Make this guy speaker of the house!

[–] Infynis@midwest.social 41 points 10 months ago (3 children)

Did they book him for graffiti or something? This doesn't sound super illegal

thereisnews.com is a satirical site and not actual news

edited out unecessary stuff

[–] HappycamperNZ@lemmy.world 10 points 10 months ago

I mean, I'd believe that both someone else did it and someone couldn't get out after.

[–] uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Disappointed. I was hoping for a new age of creative low-casualty terrorism.

[–] treesapx@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I know what you're saying, but the idea of this terrifying someone is pretty funny.

[–] 1847953620@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

It would terrorize only exactly the ones we need to terrorize the most.

[–] CorruptBuddha@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago

Woo!

This makes me happy! I've been working to re-engage my skepticism, and called this one!

edited out unecessary stuff

huh?

[–] Cassa@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I first added a link to "https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2021/02/11/fact-check-viral-ikea-story-social-distancing-arrows-satire/6709720002/"

and said that the page is allegedly a satirical site.

but the site says that it's satirical on the frontpage, so it wasn't really nessecary to have all of that 😅

[–] glibg10b@lemmy.ml 1 points 10 months ago

Ah, I understand. I do think the edit note is a bit confusing and unnecessary, though

[–] z500@lemmy.world 13 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I wonder if you could get charged with manslaughter if someone very dehydrated got lost in the labyrinth and died of thirst

[–] wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago

That's more 'survival of the fittest' and not 'murder' but

[–] worldsayshi@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

Seems quite dangerous in case of fire though.

[–] boeman@lemmy.world 32 points 10 months ago (2 children)

It's like using vim as your text editor.

[–] XTornado@lemmy.ml 21 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Vim user: What are arrows?

Imagine seeing H, K, and L on the floor of a computer shop during the pandemic to direct foot traffic.

Edit: obviously my dumb joke is dumb. I guess an H would need an underline. To fix this inelegance, you could just use only Js.

[–] fallingcats@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 10 months ago

As a nano user, time to power it off and on again (sabotage the electrical system)

[–] Redrum714@lemm.ee 4 points 10 months ago

How dare you

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 30 points 10 months ago

That's just how a regular IKEA is. Poor guy arrested for doing his job!

[–] kotauskas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 10 months ago

fnaf 6 real

[–] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 13 points 10 months ago

Where's MadLads when you need it??

[–] mobilehugh@lemmy.ca 10 points 10 months ago

As if this is even needed. Getting lost in Ikea is part of their layout. He probably got arrested because it accidentally showed people the exit.

[–] Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 10 months ago (3 children)

I thought decals would be a video game development term. Is it not?

[–] moog@lemm.ee 20 points 10 months ago (1 children)

No a decal is any kind of graphic printed on things. Like the Police livery on cop cars or the advertisement on Nascar cars

[–] Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 10 months ago

Interesting. Thank you for explaining.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 7 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

It is used in game engines and 3d modeling tools, but the term is much older taken from something being stuck on something else, like a sticker.

[–] TrousersMcPants@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Nah it just means a decorative sticker
