They know me so well! ๐Ÿ˜ญ

My husband wakes up 5 minutes before he has to leave, and if he's going 15 minutes away, that means he GETS UP 20 minutes before he has to be somewhere.

The only exception to that rule is when I need to be somewhere, because he will ask me what time I need to leave, and he will actually get up 30 minutes before that time. Essentially, he only makes sure he's awake enough to drive when I'm in the car. I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about that because I'm happy he's accommodating my needs, but that also means he values my life more than his, whereas I worry about his safety.

I'd guess it's really that you talk to him in the car so he has to be that much more awake to add that to his multitasking, to drive at the same amount of safety.

This seems logical to me. Am I autistic?

Difference between just being able to do it vs having to plot out our whole day by the hour. Similar to other neurodivergent traits. Very similar to neurotypical but that it makes it so much harder for the neurodivergent

Plotting out every minute, getting super stressed when one thing happens forcing you t change this detailed plan for your day which then ruins your whole day. Not being able to do anything else productive while in โ€œwaiting modeโ€. This is prob more adhd but prob has an overlap with autism like many others.

And somehow, I'm still late, even if I get there early. I wait in my car and walk in late...or if it's virtual, I sign on late even though I was at my computer 15 mins early ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Why does it take half an hour to take meds? Do you take them and just sit there waiting for your next checkpoint?

Critical Hit!

ADHD, not autistic, but this is still pretty applicable to me
