Lower class : box of beer ( brown glass) or a tinny

Upper lower : box of beer ( green glass) or a fifty

middle class : flowers, tickets to the rugby , or vouchers for a fancy restaurant

Upper middle and beyond : I'll tell you when I get there

Haha yeah, alcohol tends to be an easy one. I always offer to share my fancy tequilas/liquor (my mom gives them to me haha) or a round of top shelf weed with friends who drink/smoke.

This whole class/glass colour made me think US, but you said rugby which they don't have there do they? Where are you from??

NZ, but don't read too much into the class thing. It's mostly, green glass = more expensive, but it's not always the case.

Oh interesting. class is definitely not glass colour related in the UK.

A hand-written thank-you card means a lot in the age of the Internet

In my country a bouquet of flowers.

Flowers is an interesting one, even if the receiver is a man? In Mexico, US, and probably a lot of Canada this would be seen as either a romantic advance or a joke unless you have a very intimate (can be platonic) relationship with them already and generally just for women even then
