That kid looks like he’s being held at gunpoint

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

That's why he's enjoying a tuna dog.

[–] empireOfLove@lemmy.one 14 points 1 year ago

Perfect for a microwave lunch at work.

This has to be a new meme format. It's too good not to be.

Now with more tuna flavor!

Hickory-smoked, if you read the fine print.

Not bad per se

Were fish plants back then?

You mean they aren't now?

Oh shit, wait, am I not a vegan?

[–] Triple_B@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Tunies aren't vegan?

Gelato isn't vegan?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

As long as KFC is vegan, I'm fine.

Fish aren't meat as far as dietary rules go for the Abrahamic faiths.

[–] wombatula@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

I am pretty sure that's only Catholicism (possibly Orthodox Judaism?), and the reason is cold-blooded animals literally were not considered to be meat, so they are ok to eat during times that meat is prohibited.

I was raised on such a faith and I've never heard anything like this before.

[–] TheAlbatross@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hey, anyone know if these are still available? I've never seen em in stores but I'd deffo buy some fish hot dogs.

I've seen a lot of fish based sausages at the Asian markets... might be worth the gamble.

Legit I want these to make a half cheese half fish sausage corn dog. I saw those frozen and assembled at a Chinese grocer, but not the fish sausages themselves. I figured I might try it with Korean fish cakes cut into rectangular prisms, but I got lazy and used em normal on soups instead.

i like tuna enough that i would try this convenient way instead of it falling out the sides of my sandwhich

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah, but imagine biting into one without being told it was tuna!

[–] TrenchcoatFullofBats@belfry.rip 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

...but why is there butter on those tuna weiners?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do you not put butter on yours?

[–] RHSJack@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I'm confused. Are we still talking about tuna? Or...
