Summary

Steve Bannon, former Trump strategist, sharply criticized Elon Musk over his support for H-1B visas, accusing him of undermining American workers.

On his "War Room" podcast, Bannon warned Musk to adopt MAGA’s “America First” stance or face backlash, calling for a complete immigration moratorium.

Musk, a proponent of skilled foreign labor, has defended H-1B visas for filling tech jobs, citing a lack of qualified Americans, sparking controversy.

Trump's unexpected support for H-1B workers has further divided MAGA supporters, escalating tensions between Trump allies and Musk.

Who is we? Does Bannon have any money backing him?

Bannon has been pushing fascist ideology worldwide for years now. He has Chinese money backing him, probably other countries by now. He started to make most of his money farming gold in WOW.

Oh, he also pushed that gamergate BS and recognized he could tap into the young male anger for his purposes. He traveled throughout the EU after Trump won in 2016, assuming to make connections and push more fascism. He also traveled around the US and made friends with right wing militias. The same that were in DC during 1/6.

He seems effective and a fucking monster. Fuck that dude.

I hope this fight is real and Bannon's recent talk about billionaires have to eat the tax hikes and not working class is true. I don't trust him, but I assume he recognizes they could lose movement if the masses get too upset too fast. Bread and circuses and all that.

Of course, it wouldn't surprise me if this fight is fake and Bannon is just making noise so his 'enemies' don't know what he is doing. He might make a lot of noise. Have Musk say nevermind let's not do these visas. Bannon will declare victory. Musk will implement anyway. Bannon won't mention it because he won and there's a new topic to complain about.

I agree on that last thing you said most especially. While I agree with Bannon's position on H-1Bs, I don't really think he's principled about it at all as a matter of labor relations for the American worker. He's more about stoking hatred and division in support of his beliefs about white supremacy.

I also think you are right - if Bannon thinks he can get some performative "win" on the matter, he'll not say a peep if later on nothing changes and Americans are still getting screwed while elites continue exploiting foreign labor.

You can see other obvious cases of absurdity from this bunch - right now, people like him and Loomer are upset about billionaires having undue influence (LOL) and many on the rightfully clutch their pearls about the likes of Nancy Pelosi making money off of insider trading, but they say nothing about donvict, who is allegedly already a billionaire, making money while in office from rather suspect foreign sources....I don't expect any consistency from these people at all....

Yes. I don't know who Bannon is referring to specifically but there's various billionaires behind him. He was living on a Chinese billionaires superyacht last year before his prison sentence.

It's almost like some of these people - donvict, Elon, Bannon, Thiel - are trying to pattern their lives after cartoon supervillians, isn't it?

I also wonder when magabrainz watch things like Back to the Future or Caddyshack - who are they rooting for when they watch those movies?
