There was a lot of press I read about the British and French elections. I've even seen some coverage of the Indian elections.

I think part of the problem is that, not only are American elections important, but they are also scheduled. Most other nations have snap elections where campaigning is on the level of months. You also have an extended party selection process which takes over half a year to finish.

American media can have dedicated election journalists churning out content for far longer than other nations, so more gets written.
