Oh wow. I can't imagine going into Endgame completely blind. Had you read the comics at least? Or was it just an ensemble of weird characters with powers fighting each other and travelling through time?

What would have even been the point in the fight?

This is a quite delayed response, but it was essentially your second question. I went with friends who watched a lot of the MCU movies and they were trying to explain everything to me in real time. I eventually just asked them to save their breath because the backstory was so long. I did enjoy the spectacle of the movie, though the impact was lost on me.
