I don't think marijuana should be legal because smokers can't seem to not do it out in public and I don't want to smell it, breathe it in, or have my whole car filled with the smell. (lemmy.world)

I have never encountered a single smoker who understands that the Heat/AC unit built into the wall of a hotel room is actually a giant hole that pulls air and smoke into it.

I frequently have hotel rooms where some marijuana smoker is smoking outside their room and then suddenly my whole room fills up with weed smell.

Also, I have been at red lights and the person next to me is smoking and then my car fills up with the smell of weed. It happens if the windows are open or with the Heat or AC on.

I actually believe the government shouldn't regulate what we do with our bodies but the since marijuana smokers cannot be considerate of other people they shouldn't have the right to take away others rights.

It is the same. It's not your property. You don't get to dictate what other people do nearby.

Marijuana is just one of many smells you are very likely to be exposed to if you get a hotel room in a populated area, and it's far more pleasant to many than a lot of the alternatives.

You disliking a smell does not give you ownership of the whole surrounding area.
