I'd worry about this, but I don't care if the toilet brush leaves plastic or gas a reduced lifetime.

On the other side of the equation, it seems like a little detergent in the toilet bowl and some vigorous swishing should be enough to get the brush as clean as it needs to be.

This is what I do.

It only ever goes from the bowl to the holder. I live in my forever house, so it will stay there for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, I'm just not understanding why my toilet brush needs to be sterilized. I'll settle for "not poopy."
