Isn't it a major theme of the New Testament that we all would have killed or deserted Jesus? Isn't that the point of the story of Peter (Jesus' bestie) denying him three times?

You are 100% right. There's plenty of food for thoughts and no truth in those words, we should all read them, reflect, bexome better people and move on the same way we do when we watch star trek episodes.

If everyone stopped taking 2000 yeaes old fairy tales so literally, we would all be much happier as a society.
