Sequel to Cattails.


I ignored the first one as the trailed didn't look too special. The sequel piqued my interested, and it seems first one has "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating, from 2000+ votes. The reviews look good too, so going to give the first one a try.

It's not just that... The backgrounds and animations are just so oddly barren. Like, "Link to the past" and later pixel art games such as secret of mana made such great use of the limited resources they had. You could see how people had passionately worked in those. This one? Have you seen the walkcycle? The empty landscape with a few sprites thrown in? Sorry, but this is weird. Yeah, especially regarding the contrast to the cinematic.

Yeah I was interested at first because thought be more like Stray instead just other gathering and building game with some combat that like said above looks like a game for the SNES.

I saw one yesterday that was also crappy. I know independent games can't have huge budgets but come on with todays tools we can do better than this.

Games like this should be on PC and/or mobile.
