I would love it if Sony started putting their VR games on Steam as a result.

Reveal on Tuesday, June 11th at 8:00am PT on their YouTube channel (link in article)

That would mean reusing a needle, which is not sanitary or safe. Now if they did a design like those multi colored ink pens from middle school, that would be different.

I think rather than marking the price down further than normal sales, I think they will add official PC support to help boost sales. I think hey already confirmed they were looking into it.

For people with a PC and a PS5 this would make the PSVR2 the go to VR headset.

I couldn't agree more. I feel like I'm back in the Halo 1-3 days

I mean, it's probably unplayed by a lot of people despite the fact that it's critically acclaimed, and it's over a decade old. I don't think it's too young for a remake considering you can still buy the old version.

This game to me is a perfect blend of gameplay and story when played single player. I'm more annoyed that they actually added coop. If anything, I think coop should be something that is unlocked after an initial playthrough. What makes this game great is playing both characters on the same controller, without that I'm not sure if the story will be as impactful

The point of these posts is to foster discussion (good or bad), not to act as an ad. The few people on Lemmy who even follow this community are not the ones making the difference in the pocketbooks of Ubisoft CEOs when this game eventually sells millions of copies because gamers who only play GTA, COD, and 2K whatever preorder it in droves.

Like it or not, Assassins Creed is a tent pole title in the gaming industry and reporting on the upcoming title is relevant. With that being said, continue to vote and speak your mind.

I had been feeling quite down about this game as well. I thought it had so much potential and I thought it was canceled. I'm super happy to see it's still alive and kicking!

Yesterday there was no queue and gameplay with my buddy was fantastic. I think the worst of it is behind us. If you were holding off, this is a good jumping on point.

Too few games are even harnessing the full potential of the PS5. I don't see how this is needed or wanted.

I think even if the server issues persist for much longer (which I hope they won't and don't think they will), HD2 will likely have much more people playing it long term than HD1 ever did.

Hell yeah, Mario extraction shooter, can't wait!

Honestly though, the extraction shooter part of this isn't even the most compelling component for me in a vacuum. For me it's how the extraction element contributes to the larger galactic war story. It reminds me of why I liked Hades so much but otherwise don't like many roguelikes in general. The run-die-repeat mechanic of Hades only worked for me because it made sense in the story, with each time you die the House of Hades changes bit by bit and the story progresses.

Devs should come up with a story they want to tell or a work they want to build first, and then from there walk it back to find the gameplay loop, rather than say, "Extraction shooters or so hot right now, how can we shoehorn this loop/mechanic into a game that otherwise has no soul."

What sold my friends on this game was me saying, "it's starship troopers DnD with the Devs as the dungeon master and the aggregate of players making the story decisions."

Hopefully this release makes Sony attempt it in the future so we can see.
