This reminds me of when China was throwing around money like it grew on tress, and I don't see this being any more successful.
Honestly, yes, but unlike China Saudi Arabia already has a very strong league, relative to the rest of Asia at least. Personally worried for the asian game, they're already strong enough.
"China", or more accurately rich Chinese businessmen, were abruptly stopped by China introducing regulations against it. Here this seems that the Saudi government itself is pushing it, so unless something unexpected happens I don't see this stopping any time soon.
