The privacy implications of this are not cool. I'm not OK with every app knowing which apps I have installed. Or any app knowing that, frankly.

Bear in mind these are very old versions of minecraft. Mods on these versions are still somewhat popular in a dedicated group, but these won't be a problem for a typical minecraft player.
Not serious, but amusing: https://hackaday.com/2023/07/10/gas-powered-fly-swatter-slightly-over-engineered/
If you have a PC, the overdrive website and application still work. The downloads are more friendly to format shifting than Libby's are.
We really need better sorting. My feed seems to be dominated by just a few communities rather than having a balance between all the ones I'm subscribed to.
And everything except "new" seems to stagnate too much.
Faster does matter in many cases.
The authors of the original article and the response may have a bit of survivorship bias, and haven't seen companies fail because they fell behind, but that definitely happens. Every company/product that I've worked on (before my current company) is now dead. 90% of everything fails. Companies/products fail (maybe slowly, but eventually) when they are compared against other companies in a similar space that can deliver more features more quickly. And don't forget that things like performance and scalability are "features" here.
Similarly, doing "More" also matters in many cases, and more requires working faster. Having quality (in the critical areas) allows you to work faster. Automated tests are faster than manual tests, but aren't needed everywhere.
I have to say I mostly agree about bugs, though. Most bugs don't really matter.
There are probably specific communities that I'd miss, but the real answer is VOLUME. There's still more content there.
This is a bad example. "Hospital" is pronounced without the leading "H" sound in some regions, so "an" would be appropriate. :(
Counter point: only do social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) with people you know.
It's the other crap, mostly commercialized, that is toxic.
