Hmm, so there is still a flickering ray of hope left.

This was probably one of the handful of times I went back to reddit in 2 years, hoping that the blatant genocide would have some sane noises rising up. I was stupid to think so.

Just reading the pinned post on r/worldnews makes me recoil with the unending racism, genocide denial and the cheering of the killings. I wonder if most of the Westoids are just so far gone or purely evil.

I am looking for any article/post that explains the involvement of China in Myanmar from a leftist perspective. From what I know from a Myanmar acquaintance, there is an overall negative sentiment towards China because they support the junta, giving China control over trade & industries.

(Let me know if this post belongs in a different community)

You believe it is theft (and subversive behavior) when someone else makes a profit from your labor, even though they pay you fair-market wages.

I can feel the hesitation they had while writing the first part because of how bad it sounds. They had to add “even though they pay you fair-market wages.” to make it halfway agreeable.

If it actually has some impact it would be good to finally see the war end. On the other side, I don’t know how I feel about US taking the credit for negotiations and “ending the war”.

Also, has the looming debt crisis, de-dollarization etc. pushing US to broker peace or is it something else? It should be embarrassing for them to talk about negotiations when they have been so vocally against it.

I love humor that throws you off, definitely using the カツカレー one irl, even though I might end up looking like an idiot.

Read the article at your own risk of dying from disgust

In the midst of European nation’s unrest over the energy crisis, if Russia resumes it’s supply, wouldn’t that be hypocritical and, more concerning, reverse the progress the world has made towards the destruction of this wretched hegemony?
