Thunder gets regular updates and is open source and ad free.

Symphony is my go to music app, but there are plenty of others out there, both FOSS and not. Retro Music Player also works great.

A fellow Alpharad fan by chance? I found out about them the same way, and now they're in my top three favorite bands.

The first single from their upcoming album "Rapture Waltz"

Banger music taste. 90s bands are the greatest.

Every new Linux user counts!

Haha, that'd be funny if this was the meaning.

I ran Manjaro Linux as my daily driver a few years ago but slowly phased it out for Windows for some reason, and I'm finally back using Linux (currently Linux Mint). I gotta say, I don't know why I ever switched back to Windows. There's just so much freedom Linux gives you right off the bat that Windows is just plain stubborn about. The final straw for me was a couple weeks ago when Microsoft added a Copilot (Bing AI) Shortcut to my Windows 11 taskbar. They'd already added ads to my start menu and preinstalled a bunch of garbage that should be opt-in, not opt-out, so I was just fed up with it at that point. Plus, Linux is so much more customizable. Been running Mint for about a week and a half now, and honestly, I don't think I'll be using Windows much anymore.

Just barely discovered this one, but it's very good.

The Smashing Pumpkins are my favorite band of all time. They have so much fantastic music, new and old. They are also incredible live. Glad to see so many still appreciate them, even on a platform as niche as Lemmy.

An alternative song that made me feel a little tense the first time I heard it. A bit of a darker feeling song for sure.

And Playlet if you use a Roku or Roku TV 😉

Salt Lake City area, actually. Pretty far from Seattle. Peaches is the only song I know off the top of my head though.

Someone doesn't like 90's Alt Rock.

I'm early Gen Z and I know this song lmao. It played here and there on the local alternative rock radio stations.

Greatest game of all time, imo.

A song that came out a decade before I was born. Definitely a more popular song, but a great one nonetheless.

I noticed that the YouTube Music link leads to the live version on Songwhip, so if you use YouTube Music, click here instead for the studio recording.

Loved this song when it first came out and recently rediscovered it. I still love it!

For a little more context, I use an 8bitdo Ultimate Wireless controller. The one that works on the Switch, PC, and the Deck, with my Deck docked to a TV while playing for this to happen. Haven't tried to recreate the issue undocked, because I don't use the Nintendo layout undocked.

I've had a few games where I press a face button (ex. The A button), it acts like I press the correct button for a second, but then immediately after it presses the Xbox counterpart. Like, when I press A, it presses B right after, which makes it really hard to navigate menus.

The layout works well with most games I've tried, but I've had these issues in Cyberpunk 2077 and 30XX.

Love this song and this band. One of their many gems.

YouTube Music [From iDKHOW's 2018 debut EP "1981 Extended Play"] I love this band so much. Very much hoping for more from them someday.
