Seconding the use of this feature as well. I took it a bit further and took 5 minutes to set up a “Personal” focus mode, active only in the weekends where all work-related apps, mail, calls, etc. cannot send me notifications. In my work there are some serious boundary issues, so this helps me a lot with anxiety and stress.

Also quality overall has decreased a lot. Some months ago I started seeing news gathered from random reddit posts as in the worst journalism ever. That’s sad, apart from the site you linked, only a couple more (Aftermath comes to mind) seems to remain as good ones for gaming news.
Star Wars: The Old Republic. I don’t care about all the MMO stuff, but every time I watch or read something star-wars-related, I want to fire it up, get the one month subscription, and go on with some single-player story I need to finish. This happens twice a year more or less.
I might have a similar problem. I was not using their desktop apps for some weeks, but I updated recently after they released a totally new app on mac os (different name so now I have two apps, ok) which I think is related to their name change. Since then, I can’t login in the new (or old) desktop app no matter what (the error was some connection issue I believe). Haven’t reached out to support yet but it seems they are having some troubles in the transition?
I sound like a broken record but check also https://silverbullet.md
It should check all of your boxes + it has local files like obsidian (which is why I love it), and the main dev is very active both on discord and forum.
So hyped for Ventress, very cool reveal
I never manage to get into foam coming from Obsidian, possibly because I use VSCode/Codium for coding, so it’s hard for my brain to adapt and appreciate all the pkm things (same reason Dendron didn’t stick either). Plus I’ll admit I’m getting used to the live preview thing. Sorry if I ask, do you use it for note taking or general work management?
Totally agree. I’m moving away from Obsidian but I’ll never be thankful enough to that software for getting me used to local .md files. I find it just way way better than any other solution.
https://github.com/AppFlowy-IO/AppFlowy is built to be an alternative to Notion. They jumped on the AI wagon as well and their website is more corporate-like that I remembered, but you might give it a shot :)
There’s also yattee for iOS, which works with invidious and Piped too https://github.com/yattee/yattee
There’s also Strongbox available for ios
Having a friend who works as a ramp agent as well (in Italy), I am amazed by the amount of work and security requirements that are needed, and at the same time impressed at how nothing bad happens since everything is so messy that it could collapse anytime
