If it was for me, I would support a FOSS alternative but, parents didn't enjoy the Libreoffice experience.

I got my parents in their 70s to use Ubuntu for a few years now. All they use is a web browser and word processing application for .docx files. They used MS Word for years and I found Only Office has a similar UI and opens word docs.

At one point I gave them an older laptop running windows again and they hated it. They wanted Linux back.

Big fan of Until Dawn on PS4 and was stoked to learn about a remake. I am not stoked to see a $60 price tag on a remake title.

There is! 7th Heaven is what you want.

This is more like a huge mod manager that lets you pick and choose the mods you want, rather than Moguri Mods install and it just works.

I remember when EA did something similar with Dragon Age Origins with an NPC that spawns at your camp. They tell you an engaging story then before you can hit accept quest you are hit with a pay wall. I remember being so pissed off, def added to my current hatred and do not buy attitude I have for EA Games these days. Sad to see Bethesda repeat similar failures.

My company has used these cards for years. They are great for our needs and the fan less design is desired for the end product (moving parts always break). Its always a concern when computer components are discontinued.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of ASUS these days, I do wish we had some other options.

This is a great "Good/Bad" movie. I watched it a lot growing up. It is messed up they dyed a tiger black during filming.

These Star Trek memes are hot fire!

"On September 29th, 2023, we will ship out our final red envelope. It has been an honor to share movie nights with you. ...We sincerely thank you for joining us on this amazing journey of 25 years." -The Netflix DVD Team

With Netflix discs closing its doors on the 29th, where will you get your DVD's, Blu Rays and UHDs?

This raises a few questions for discussion:

  • What services do you use?
  • Whats your experience with any of these services?
  • What do you do with your physical media?

--

I know, I know, yes, its 2023 and people still get physical media. A physical disc can have many advantages over a streaming service, such as:

  • Control Over Content
  • Quality
  • Sound Profiles
  • Extras
  • Back Ups
