Last time they tried this we fought a whole ass war over it. I highly doubt that it'll go nearly as swimmingly lol.

If physical contact was necessary for collaboration, then nearly every foss project would fail.

I see where they're coming from, but like every good idea the government has had its going to be abused and mutated into Satan's Christmas tree of a bill, and either be draconian or useless.

Also, this idea is shit for brains stupid lol

Sadly not new. The USA considers encryption to be a weapon of war (thanks Germany), so they do whatever they can to interfere with it. If you are making a new encryption scheme it will be illegal if the government doesn't have an easy way to break it.

Edit: the guy that made pgp got in a stink with the government if memory serves they tried to bop him with something to do with itar.

I remember dongle life, they popped up in the very late 90's and survived until like 2008ish. They sucked then, and they really suck now. And yes, I still think having an all in one USB "dongle" is worse than having built in functionality.

then again, I have a framework, so it's kinda moot lol.

Mostly, the bugs that are left are more funny than irritating.

Oh look it's the twitchcon foam pit.

Let's be honest, it's probably safer.

Last time I installed arch or Gentoo it reminded me of a race car I drove with a friend. It rattles, it pops, it makes some strange noises but damn is it fast.

And only pretty on the outside lol.
