This would be literal torture to my wife. I think after watching enough movies with sound effects, eating food, and seeing her reactions it would be the sound of people eating spaghetti with their hands, audibly slurping up the noodles, chewing with their mouths open, combined with loudly smooching and making kissing sounds. They're also popping their necks and elbows throughout the process. She might literally go crazy if she was forced to listen to that for a long period.

I've heard notion calendar is the best calendar software out there. If it also supports reminders really well (and I'm already a notion user), then maybe this is worth checking out.

Tbh I know this isn't helpful, but I recommend take the L and find better games to play. Errantly perma banning users shows a lack of consumer consideration and does not deserve further energy to fix. They fucked up, take your business elsewhere.

Again, I know it's not helpful but I think worth considering. Companies some decades ago used to be user experience as the top goal, but that has gone to the sidelines for many companies, and I don't think it's good to normalize. Hence, boycott when it happens.

For me it's reminders. I use slack for work, and whenever anything comes up that I need to take care of (personal or work related) I'll tell slack "/remind me about tomorrow/next week".

I've been doing this for years. I have it on my phone and computer so it's easy to view and add new reminders whenever I need. I didn't think slack is crucial to use but I find it to be the most convenient, even more so then dedicated reminder apps

A casual dystopia

I do like large gatherings, but I don't really do well meeting people and making friends in them. I find it too chaotic and difficult to "be myself" with so many people. I also feel there tends to be more shallow conversation in these settings making it great for banter and social energy but less great for connecting and getting to know new folks.

I am looking to meet new people to be friends, as in capital F friend, not just a random person I know. Someone who wants to hit me up and go do something fun, check in on me and see how I'm doing, etc.

How do you go about meeting people and finding social settings that foster deeper connections?
