One would and wouldn't be surprised. I just abandoned a texas poker app on mobile and it's sickening to see how many people pay up cheaters just to get billions and even a trillion chips. Then I see them on the table and they always win.

Which they most likely will, just won't say anything.

Fuck you for ruining Humble Bundle, IGN, you fucks.

Google search needs to just branch itself off into several micro-search engines. It is useless as a general purpose search engine.

Again, try searching 'skillet' and you'll get more results on the band with the name than the pan itself. Make a media-based micro search engine where it's nothing but music, movies, shows .etc

But as big as Google is, they won't do it.

You know, people keep asking what America is going to be like 10, 20 or even 50 years from now.

I'm going to tell you that we'll have some of the most spottiest blotches of our history. It'll be rooted from the times and events where extremely aggressive opposers to generally anything intellectual have gone on crusades to undermine anything they think is a huge problem, like scientists.

This will be our Burning of the Library of Alexandria. We'll just have inconclusive data to our researches because of politically charged people.

NO! I've got something better!

We make the ads guilt you into using ad blockers! Then we pepper your active streaming with ADs every 30 seconds! YOU WILL BUY! YOU WILL CONSOOME!

Oh cool, so like, piece of shit corporations can just mow down many more forests, rainforests and shit under the guise "but but we got this thing from scientists where we can replace the trees with these cages!". Fucking hell.

I praise the breakthrough but I don't think it's going to be carried out as intended.

I've been reluctant on getting chromebooks because I know how much Google loves to encompass everyone into it's always-online, data farming ecosystem. Well I know that some select Chromebook models allow Linux to be installed on them to the point of telling ChromeOS to fuck off.

I already have one laptop that's an HP Stream with Bhali Linux on it, it's not a super powerful laptop, I just wanted to kick Windows 10 off since someone dared to install that onto it with the specs it's got.

I'm just wondering though if anyone has attempted to install Linux on this model? I plan to grab a light-weight distro and turn it into a casual laptop unlike the HP Stream one where I just have it there for personal use while my desktop is the brunt of gaming and art stuff.

I was planning to format a flashstick and go the route of using the Universal USB Installer but not sure if this Chromebook model is going to reject or worse - brick itself if any attempts were made.

That's a fundamental flaw I am seeing with the fediverse, least some instances while understanding it's not exclusive to just here. When the head of a community isn't around, it's free game for those to shit all over it unanswered. It's frustrating and I had wished there would have been some plans to have backup individuals capable of upholding the values of the community to prevent it from falling down or into the wrong hands.

The fediverse is supposed to be a representative of an alternative escape for those tired of the centralized networks of social media. When we're dealing with cases like these, it just makes everything look weak and unattractive to would be newcomers just beginning to understand the alternatives of the fediverse.

I would apply myself but really I can admit that I might not always be around either and knowing people are facing issues, it sucks.

Like seriously, where are the current ones at? There's too much trash and clutter posts here.

This is probably a good thing. No, really, it is. Think about where you could best spend that money and the hobbies you'll embrace than coming online to try and integrate with a totally fractured society on display when it comes to the internet.

I expect a console/PC release of this game when they realize how dumb it was to narrow this game to ZuckQuest.

Why the flying fuck would anyone want Plumbers Don't Wear Ties?

Todd bought Fallout because Fallout was only just seen as a way to make merch out of. Yes, let's have vault boy on everything, let's have nuka-cola replicas, let's have bottle cap replicas .etc

But nothing about whether or not the games are even worth a toss to play. There's people who still to this day, favor FO 1, 2 and New Vegas. They were made with a level of charm and care that got YOU to where you are today. FO 3, 4 and 76 all feel like just empty open worlds with recycled material, it's running in place with no forward progression.

The OG creator of FO may be a humble guy, but the series still deserve better.

Look at this fucking mess with these bots and lonely losers with too much time on their hand. They've all taken a dump on multiple instances and magazines.

Is this the kind of future we've got to look forward to on the Fediverse?

I forced myself to go back a little to Reddit recently. Because while I endorse and love the existence of the Fediverse, I can't in good conscience, tolerate the instability of it. Any other time I go somewhere, I'm met with a page that says KBin is working on resolving issues, then I go somewhere else and it's fine.

Sometimes commenting takes a little lag, requiring me to click twice, this happens when I'm even commenting to other instances from KBin, like to Lemmy.

I understand that the fediverse isn't as well maintained and operational as most centralized social media sites. But if it could smooth and iron out these issues, then it would be more of an attractant to gain users.

Because not only do users seek alternatives to go, but they'd love it if there was stability in functionality.
