Didn't know it was that large yet, that's pretty good! The point is whether 700k leaving twitter says anything about a trend. Bluesky could be twice the size of twitter without changing the point.

I will probably start using Bluesky and Mastodon shortly.

I think the poster wants to say it means not that many in the US are leaving twitter or looking for alternatives, contrary to what the headline suggests.

He was a meanie and very unpresidential and Hillary was disliked (even by me) and people wanted something different. Now he has been shown he will literally go against any advisors and literally tried to overturn the 2020 election results. Literal anti-democratic traitor to america.

I could understand Trump in 2016. I could also understand Trump in 2020 but much less. In 2024? Nahh... America voted for him in 2024 and I will judge Americans for it.

the most Gigachad thing I have read in a long time

If you get along and love them, and you pitch in with a modest rent and chores and cooking, honestly I think we should live longer with our parents.

There is a heartbreaking statistic that is something like when you move out of your parents house you will have spent like 90% of the time you will ever spend with them (or some other very high number).

I lived with my parents until 30 and now moved to another country to study, but sometimes feel very sad that I don't live with them anymore. So much so that when I am done with my education I will move back CLOSE to where they live, and probably overnight frequently if it makes sense.

All of this probably changes if you settle down and start a family, of course.

Silver Wings of Morning is a Shatterling ship of Gentian Line. Shatterlings exist six million years in the future. The ship is so large that it contains other ships in its hanger.

I will have no trouble surviving in this futuristic ship.

The article probably explains it but I think it's important to mention every time. It's not the total energy put into the experiment (charging up the equipment etc); It's the energy put into the collision.

It's an important measure but it must also produce more than is put into the entire system, and even more than that to be financially viable and cover costs.
