Although from a consumer standpoint it's true a well. Official reviewers are often bought (directly or not), pressured in other ways, operate on nonsense scales, and are infamously not actually that good at video games. Player reviews are a Little better, but you have to be adept at weeding out whinging from people who suck at games or just suck broadly.

Streamers/YouTubers are the only real option, imo, as they actually show what they're doing (no lying!) and have to build up an actual reputation of some kind to be noticed.

You really don't have taste buds if you think they taste the same.

Wow that's fucked. That's the entire reason snapchat is even still a thing.

Intellectual property laws need to be completely abolished and remade from the ground up. They do nothing but harm society as it stands. That said, i don't think ai bros care. They just want to have their product also partake in destroying humanity at every possible level for profit they couldn't even spend if they tried.

But they don't want us all to reap the rewards, they just want the rewards for themselves. The cruelty is the point.

So, in the u.k., it's just one of those "we keep this handy to hurt the uppity poors" laws?

Lawsuit, sure, but is it actually illegal?

[–] shani66@ani.social 2 points 2 months ago

Probably not as bad on lemmy, at least.

While I'm not going to have this specific topic in my search history, sexually violent porn very likely does nothing to encourage actual sexual violence. Most studies show that it has no effect on sexual violence at all, some show it decreases it, and only a few studies show it increases it (and those ones tend to have smarter people than me saying they are flawed).

While media can have psychological effects, normalizing extreme behavior doesn't seem to be one of them. That said, I wouldn't trust an ai bro or their ai to handle something like that. At best they don't know what goes into their training sets, at worst they would probably deliberately include csam.
