They just released a new version of Aether this month. I just downloaded it. I'm not sure how active it is, but it's still being developed/released.

Librewolf, Beacon browser, Catalyst, Ninetails, Otter browser, etc

Hey there. What do you think of blockchain social networks, like steemit, etc? Do you have to be into crypto to join them? I was thinking of trying one out.

This might be counterintuitive, but breathwork has been known to help deal with trauma and work through trauma. I'd link them to a breathwork video if they were willing. If not, that's fine too.

Hi. I was wondering what are some good fediverse social media sites? I know of two, mastodon and movim, are there any others?

I would say it's not their fault, they've had to deal with a lot, but nothing that's happened to them is their fault.

I mean, technically it's not, everyone has some sort of trauma in some way.

I'm pretty sure these people haven't been shown an ounce of kindness

Hey everyone! So I recently joined a very toxic reddit alternative (not this one) and there's a lot of hate speech on there that makes me want to scream into the void, but anyways. I decided to kind of "troll" people on this platform by asking what their unresolved trauma is and why they have such misdirected hatred toward one group or another. Wish me luck? Do you think we should "troll" more people with kindness?

No I love lemmy. It's not a very toxic community, unlike other reddit alternatives which allow hate speech, but that's a different topic for a different day.

I just joined Poal.co and I already regret it.

I mean, I would, but then my hope for humanity would dwindle even more.

Hey humans! I found a reddit alternative I was thinking of joining, but there are some forums on there that I disagree with one hundo percent, and I'm wondering if I should still join the site? Would I still be an ally if I join the site? The forum names are mostly racist slurs, etc and so forth.

They are pretty toxic, it seems. I was told to "go back to firefox, they are wokies like you". And a couple other comments from brave's fan base.

Didn't know where to post this, so hopefully this is the right spot. Please boycott Brave. I've recently learned that not only is their CEO bad, but their fanbase is toxic, too. I will no longer be using Brave for that reason.

Hi. I'm downloading a torrent using BiglyBT, and it says I have no seeds for my torrent. Is there a way to find more seeds for my torrent? I was using i2p to download, but my download kept getting stalled, so I decided to switch over to BiglyBT.

Hi. Not sure where to post this, hopefully it fits here. If you haven't heard of Brave browser by now, it's made by the ex-CEO of Mozilla, and is prided on being private, and integrates crypto/bitcoin.

I like the idea of crypto, and would like to get more into crypto/blockchain, but I'm not sure I can support brave, or it's CEO. Do I swallow my pride and just use Brave? Would it be worth it, just for the privacy additions and crypto?

One reason I'm hesitant, is Firefox now has site-to-site cookie protection, whereas Brave does not. Mostly, I'm arguing with myself at this point, on whether to use Brave, and swallow my pride. Sure, as CEO of Mozilla, he made a bad political call. People can grow, right? Someone rebutted to me that Obama didn't support gay marriage either, and neither did Hillary Clinton.

Sorry to harp on this topic so much. What would y'all do?

Sidenote: A breadtuber I really like uses brave, so Brave can't be all that bad?

Hi. I posted a similar, lengthier post on raddle.me on this very topic. I've been a reddit user for a while, and I'm not leaving reddit, I love the site. I decided to journey onto other alternatives, just to see what's out there. Ooh boy!

My first alternative to reddit I tried was notabug.io. I noticed it's much more unmoderated, and saw some words I wish I could unsee. Everyone has a right to say whatever they want, I'm not saying they can't.

Second alternative I tried was Ruqqus. I'm still a member, but for how long, who knows? If you've heard of Voat, you'll understand why I won't be staying on Ruqqus for long. I saw a lot of white power/white supremacist advocacy, anti-semitic, racism, and homophobic threads, etc. They use the N-word a lot. Like, a lot.

Last alternative I tried was Aether. I used it in the past, and it wasn't at all toxic or bad. Recently, it's gotten worse. Much, much worse. They have an NSFW section, and same thing as Ruqqus. Lots of homophobia and racism.

I just felt I needed to air my grievances. Thanks for reading.

As a brave user, what's your opinion on the CEO, and how do you separate the CEO from the product itself?
