I think "end of history" is a bigger deal than hysteria or overreactions. People should be more concerned with things like climate change, fascism, capitalism, or systemic inequality. A lot of people have this thing in the back of their mind where they "know" nothing will ever change, and it poisons the way they think of the world over time.

I couldn't afford anxiety/depression meds and went to a professional. Literally told me, almost verbatim, "I don't think you're a danger to anyone or yourself, but I'm going to put you down as 5150. After a holding period you'll get medicine."

Visa has been under intense scrutiny since for at least several months. We wouldn't up and sue Visa out of nowhere so you know Visa was being discussed for awhile. Kids will push the limits, school shootings are a thing, kids are going to joke/mull the concept of shootings like anything else.

I guess the plan is to increase school shootings and their prominence in people's minds, but also come down increasingly hard on anyone who happens to have it affect them the wrong way.

It's not fucked up. School shootings and processing them as children is fucked up. It's like saying a child is fucked up for lying about being sick when "wow bro you know people actually get sick and die? And now you're just playing??" It's a child.

It's using old techniques from Chinese history and applying them in a new way. Ai had to experiment and go through a lot of failure to produce such a different object. I don't think the cube wireframe was important, just the old method being used to make a modern art piece.

I like the idea of reinvigorating ancient crafting techniques by making modern art. I'm not exactly an art guy so I don't know if it's a unique idea but it made me think so I like it.
