For everyone saying this seems random/odd/pointless/in response to some Karen etc:

February 2023: Dog walker mauled to death by dogs at Surrey beauty spot

The dog walker, from Croydon, died after suffering massive blood loss caused by multiple bites to the neck in Gravelly Hill, Caterham, on January 12, while she was out with eight dogs.

Which I suspect may have some bearing on this announcement.

Average wages haven't gone up by 25% since 2020, and I doubt people have been getting 25% returns on cash held over that period.

Housing affordability is lower than at any time pre-2020.

I don't want to know.

Until it's actually election time, I don't want to know what their vision is.

They can't "Brexit" any harder than the Tories have, and if they say anything negative about the obvious deficiencies of Brexit ahead of the election, they give the Tories ammunition to drum up more tribal support.

Let the real-world consequences of Brexit play out and speak for themselves. For now.
