I look forward to the lawsuits that will ultimately cost this man his job.

~15-20% is nothing to sneeze at, but hardly dominance

It’s hard to get there on the phone now, though, if you don’t already have a name and phone number. You can probably get a name off LinkedIn, but a main phone number for a company probably won’t get you anywhere now since a lot of companies don’t have receptionists anymore. You’re lucky if the phone tree has a dial by name option. I’m glad I’m not in that kind of business anymore.

I really need to try to learn Resolve. There just seems to be so much effort required to make a good NLE and such a relatively small market that it’s just not conducive to a robust FOSS project.

We’ve been trying to find something to get more electrolytes into my daughter who has POTS/dysautonomia. She didn’t like the Gatorade/Powerade classics when we first started learning about/suspecting the condition (too sweet). We’ve tried others like Liquid IV and Drip Drop but she didn’t like those because of the sugar alternatives they use (weird aftertaste). We were going to try LMNT as another recommended option but saw they use stevia and that’s also a no-go. I did notice their website lists a DIY recipe, and I suspect that might be the least expensive way to go. Annoyingly, the recipe is listed using both mass and volume measurements, but I suppose that can be dealt with/converted. If we don’t find a better option for her soon I’m starting to think we’ll just try to make our own from this recipe.

Saved you a click: it’s Marcie Hunt in an editorial in Vogue Paris from February 1981

Can the Stream Deck be used with other VR systems? I’d just assume not so I’d never looked at it for that.

Are you just changing the password or have forgotten it and need to reset it? If it’s the latter I’m guessing you can’t reset without losing these things; basically you’re losing the encryption key.

Has Amazon Games released anything decent? I feel like I’ve heard they exist but not of anything well-regarded released by them. Like the only thing I can think of offhand was a tie-in game for The Grand Tour when they started streaming the show.

That’s really all I do for lights or darks

Just in case it’s not clear for Americans, those temperatures are in Celsius. But you can pretty much interpret them as one dot low, two dots medium, or three dots high on your machine (double check user manual to be sure). More dots equals higher temperature.

A couple games popped up on my Steam wishlist at really low prices so I was thinking of getting them, but I’ve also had a few older computers recently that are losing Steam client support. This got me thinking I should really try to compare and get more games on GOG so it doesn’t matter if a client stops working on older hardware. But also following this community has had me thinking a Steam Deck makes a lot of sense for me, so maybe I’ll try to get one in the next year or two. It seems like Steam tries to keep things open to other sources on the device, but have you been playing non-Steam games, and how much hassle has it been?

Also the games I was considering are Donut County and Planet Coaster, if you have any thoughts on those.

I really hope to get one of these at some point

An interesting story about a rarely discussed feature of the Space Shuttle, that lives on in the commercial crew capsules, to prevent travelers from killing everyone onboard.
