Ok the Hyper 7 totally blew me away. Absolute overkill hit damn I wish I had money to burn on that right now.

I’m the type that has to have the number pad, I play a lot of older games that tend to be much easier to play with it for keyboard shortcuts, and I’m just way better at typing numbers invites the top row.

I am still blown away that I only heard of TempleOS recently. And also blown away by the actual OS. Like holy hell what a thing.

My wife and I both met at the tail end of college in our early 20s, we knew pretty quickly what we had but we didn't rush things other than moving in with each other after the first year. We didn't get married for another 10 years.

I almost feel like weddings early on can put huge stress on a marriage. Even if you have somebody paying for it all it creates a lot of crap to deal with and you can get forced to meet and deal with a huge amount of new family members all at once instead of slowly integrating into those things over time. We had to pay for our wedding ourselves so had zero rush and invited only who we really wanted to be there, and while it was a blast it was still stressful. But holy shit that limo ride back to the hotel room when it was all over is a top 5 moment in both our lives.

Home self hosted stuff is definitely the only time I usually get to have fun with this stuff. Work can sometimes involve fun problem solving but by the time you cut through all the red tape to get it anywhere the thrill is gone.

Those were truly wonderful times. I remember even around 2000 campus network security was minimal to non-existent and we were all just going wild and I learned so much.

Skyrim had a huge world reveal coming out of a cave after the opening sequence.

I still have my Ultima VI Compendium and Map, all of the details in them and the game lore added so much.

I'm in the process of buying right now, and my mortgage is similar to my high rent and the overall cost of ownership is higher, but it'll be worth it just to get off of the uncertainty of ever increasing rent. At this point it feels like now or never with how batshit insane the housing market has become.

I recall it being hyped up as a Cyberpunk GTA, which is very much wasn't and by the time I bought it and played it I knew that. I also waited until the first major patch and played on PC so overall my experience was pretty solid. I beat the game and enjoyed it, and I rarely make it all the way through a game these days.

I think for anyone who was expecting it to be a sci-fi open world sandbox it was probably a huge disappointment, but after that the only thing I felt let down by was just not enough interactivity with the world, which is something a lot of games don't do well anyways.

Test Drive Le Mans is excellent as well for circuit racing.
