The requirement stems from knowing that if you aren't explicit and specific, regressives will try to ruin your life directly and via stochastic terrorism.

I'd encourage your mom to consider retiring and then running for local office.

We need the custodians of the public good to be in positions of authority. It's scary to give up control you know for a long shot, but at the same time, if enough people make the leap and give us solid options in every jurisdiction, we might be able to get out ahead of the regressives' next attack.

Seems like part of the goal. Outlaw abortion, force everyone who doesn't want a child to hand it over to the state, which will outsource to religious organizations, and then tighten up the child supply so anyone who can't have but wants a child will have to go through a local church to get access, and the price will go up.

Win win win for the religious fanatics.

Correct. Most states' laws do not envision the situation we are currently seeing, let alone what's coming.

Check your state. What constitutes harassment, and can you think of harassing things that could be done without violating the law? I can for my state.

I mean honestly it's immigration with extra steps for us and fewer steps for the migrants. But who are we kidding? These people are looking at the lack of public outrage regarding Gaza and 2 years of war in Ukraine, and they're thinking, "If no one cares about Russia or Israel, then it's not like they'll stop the US."

They actively don't care unless it impacts their pilgrimage directly.

They want Jesus to come back, and they think one part of that is that Jews control the holy land.

They are actively harming the world because they truly believe that 1) humans cannot destroy God's creation, so 2) if we get close he'll have to step in and end the world and take them to the heaven that they refused to build here.

The stunning part is that they let it go to a vote without having whipped the necessary numbers.

They could have drawn it out with hearings, but they thought they had it in the bag and that their whole caucus was bought into the BS narrative they're trying to to drive leading into this election year.

Department of labor has a lot of good resources.

Each of those entries is a single person. The interface is saying that their grandmother is related to both their mother and their father. The most enlightening thing would be to see Grandma's account and how related she is to either of them. It should be 50% to their child, and it's likely a lot less for the other one.

The difference is that Western media didn't question a single thing the IDF said, even as the lies were caught in 4k.

Same with pretty much every saying that regressives steal to justify their shit.

"Blood is thicker than water" does not mean family is more important than friends. The full saying is "Blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." So it means the exact opposite.

"Spare the rod, spoil the child" is actually from a poem by Samuel Butler in the 1600s. The poem is about spanking your lover. The actual bible quote that the poem is satirizing is, "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him." Nuanced difference, but doesn't advocate beating the same way the shortened one does.

The coroner system is terrible. It treats elected officials as if they are medical experts, and in turn they are able to offer that "expertise" in court. It's a travesty.

There's a great book on how this system can go wrong called The Cadaver King and the Country Dentist. Or you can probably just look up whatever your local coroner has done.
