if danny does well he goes to RBR and Perez gets dropped. They wont put Perez at AT, no point, he's too old.

that's the point. green bubbles are sms, blue bubbles are imessage..

[–] f4te@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

i think the point is that in iMessage you totally CAN send a video, hence why green bubbles aren't popular...

I like the RAID idea, there are two F1 communities on different servers with the same number of subs. they should be synced. no reason to have two

I can't figure out how to collapse comment threads tho..

there have been some third party audits, as it is open source, and they all came up very positively. I think we can trust them for now..

i found it challenging to understand how to subscribe to communities across instances until i discovered the Home icon in the top right of lemmiverse.net. i wish there was a quick 'subscribe' button there that would help you build up your subscriptions fast.

generally, i feel good about it. waiting for a few communities i really enjoyed to pop up- watchexchange and watches are big ones imo.

glad to see two huge F1 communities though!

i'll join the voices saying this is bad for the fediverse, and bad for users in general. there are LOTS of normie users who are joining threads who will be shut off from learning about all the cool other servers if everyone blocks them. this will mean users who want to interact with them need to sign up on Threads, which is what we don't want.

what we want is that users on Threads see other servers, learn that they're better, and migrate over.

don't block Threads, show them how much better we are.
