There's a CSP for disabling it on windows enterprise devices at least. Not sure if there's a way for pro and home machines.

Competitor to steam, it's selling points are DRM free games releasing old games in playable States for modern machines. They also sell contemporary games.

Can't users just block entire instances themselves now? So the trick would be to join one that broadly follows your interests and cut down as required.

Buying from GOG is also useful as you can keep the offline installers somewhere if you have the storage for it.

I mean in the UK that's almost exclusively the form of grid scale energy storage takes, indeed one of the largest generating plants in the UK is a pumped hydro facility.

As to why ti's not deployed more it's matters of location and cost often feature heavily.

Broadly no but there are some tlds that are controlled entirely by certain entities that don't allow use by people other than them, governments being most if not all of these. Also some countries will only allow residents/citizens to use that nation's tld.

Honestly I think the trick for valve there would just be to release a build of steam OS people can install themselves into desktops (if they don't already) and just have folks building their own machine for TV pc use.
