Everytime I’ve asked this to someone that’s taken a hardline stance I’m met with either “it’s a complex issue” or just completely ignoring the question 😂

Toldry, I have spent the past week doing serious research into the Israel/Palestine conflict. I have looked at pro Palestine arguments as well as pro Israel arguments along with third party sources and cross referenced timelines of events and quotes from key players from the 1800s til now. I can safely say both sides are terrible and there’s a lot more than meets the eye going on right now. Thank you for providing nuance and level headedness in a time when people are increasingly feeling pressured to pick a side. Remember people, you can condemn both hamas and Israel. Both have done dirty things to each other from the beginning and both have engaged in deception so often that I feel there is truly no good guy in this situation.

It is so easy to say this when you’re not the one dealing with it. Per the article it seems they had stayed at a shelter for 2 months and were told to leave for another shelter and that transportation would be planned out for them. We allowed them in and are providing them transportation. This is all being paid for by tax payer money. The world is not black and white and money doesn’t just appear out of thin air. This is a complex issue. At the end of the day they wanted to escape a bad area and we let them in. If this upsets you that much, why not offer to house a migrant family?

I found the article to be written in an unnecessarily complicated way. Are you talking about the shrink number? I think most of us couldn’t care less about giant retailers losing profit, it’s the small businesses I’m concerned about.

The article you linked says there’s been a 25.6% increase in retail theft just within a years time. That’s bound to hurt a lot of businesses.

Not wanting race to be a factor in admissions is a conservative thing these days?

If both result in genocides, does it really matter which is somewhat better on paper? Both rely on creating an “enemy” and purging them, which always comes down to people they don’t like. They both need to go. I don’t want to see this place turn into a Tankie or alt right haven.
