Alma should use this as advantage for them. Now market it as "Alma Linux is more secure than RHEL".

VSCode is not free software. It's licensed under proprietary license. VSCodium is fully free software under MIT license.

Fedora and Debian are good choices. I've been using Fedora for more than 7 years and it's still going. Very stable like Debian yet up-to-date packages.
