I’m about 8 hours into this game and it’s so refreshing.

Let me clarify that I’m not trying to sound like an “enlightened centrist here,” I’m just trying to make the point that playing the finger-pointing game in relation to this story also contributes to the zero-sum-game politics that causes this institutional decay. There are no winners here, only losers.

I think, given the fact that we are all living in the same era of American politics and that we are all in the comments section of a story about a Republican Senator, that it was obvious Republicans are the perpetrators I’m speaking of. Their behavior with regard to institutional security is obviously abhorrent.

I am a bit bothered by your reply though. And I do mean to operate in good faith here, but I am curious about whether my comment was unclear or were you hoping for “Democrat good” to be my reply?

Rhetoric aside, it is chilling that a sitting Senator would take such a step and we should all be concerned about what this could lead to.

Today it’s Tuberville’s hold on nominations for non-military political reasons. Maybe tomorrow it’s the Armed Services committees treating these appointments and promotions like judicial nominations. All of a sudden, you effectively have de-facto political appointments for in-the-ranks military leadership, and U.S. politics is far scarier than it’s ever been.

Sure, I’m committing a slippery slope fallacy here, but given the track record of our political leaders to cause institutional decay with zero-sum game partisan politics, I don’t think it’s a stretch.

Hard to be surprised about the climate denial when the party appears split on whether being the party of “law and order” requires punishing people for attempted extrajudicial killings.

Games with Gold literally gave you ownership of a game. This is a subscription that gives you access to games. That’s more than a semantic difference and is a trend we have to be wary of.

It’s not that hard to link to Id.me for verification. If a business doesn’t want to be smart about proper verification that’s on them.

Is there a philosophy memes community yet?

It’s so helpful to see the costs and the raise from donations each month.

Obviously there’s probably a spike associated with people coming from Reddit in traffic and in donations but I think it’s going to be important to keep track of these trends to make sure the team can build a reserve of funds to keep .world’s prospects nice and healthy.

I definitely don’t ever have a reason to go back to Reddit, knowing that the subreddits I subscribed to will be here eventually if they’re not already

I get 1Pass through work, and the ‘personal’ vault detaches if I ever leave my job. Super useful to have, to the point that using devices where I’m not logged in feels so much worse.

Claiming to know and understand all women, including my partner. Nice, yeah, thanks for contributing to the discussion I guess?

Hey everyone! Despite my efforts, my fiancé really doesn’t get into video games much. Mechanical skill limitations frustrate her, and sometimes her attention span for games isn’t high when she could read a book or watch a show, I want to try a new tactic to see if it works: games where she can be a “backseat driver.”

I’m mainly thinking of story focused games that aren’t reliant on mechanical skill and where having a second person watching can meaningfully contribute.

Some games I’ve thought of are the Phoenix Wright games, and Return of the Obra Dinn. Does anyone else have suggestions for games I could try to play with her?

Steamdeck verified games preferred, so I can play while docked to our TV.
