I'm gonna take a wild guess that the games with high budgets that aren't "selling", are just not selling "enough" to cover the "costs" of the executives. I guess it wasn't much of a guess:

and they're not selling nearly as well as expected," Sweeney said. "Whereas other games are going incredibly strong

Do they think that these other games "going incredibly strong" are making the money they hope to make? They're probably making much less but managing it much better. The savings are almost infinite when you don't approve every executive bonus pay package.

Harm? That is what would happen to their company if they explained what they meant by "harm"

... "bad for the stability and longevity" of the shareholders. If a publicly traded company tried anything other than "line go up", it might still be stable and long lasting.

Valorant has skins that can only be acquired in their $80+ bundles too. Following the valorant trend, they know some people will keep paying, no matter the price.

I agree, that phrase seems to be a little misleading with the "trust in God" crowd because to them, that is the ultimate answer, and no other answer would come close to being "right". But "trust the science" is not meant to be the ultimate answer, just a sign pointing you in the right direction, so that you can then check the science to see if it's reliable. So, the science that you're trusting is not theirs, but yours.

That cat woke him up one day so he could continue writing his paper. He deserves his contribution.

Then Alphabet will come up with a new bullshit idea, "remove the limits for 'trusted' advertisers" so that they can inject more code than allowed as long as they keep paying for their ad "partnership"

And ask them about the difficulty of their poop, and to give it a rating between 3 and 13.
