I get people preferring one platform over another. What I don't understand is platform loyalty/tribalism. It makes no sense. Just enjoy your games!

Yeah, I worded that badly. I meant from the pov of the user. If I want my posts deleted, how am I even supposed to know how many copies there are out there?although I do see your point regarding archives.

Nintendo never really did complicated. Can't imagine them doing a battery warning with features you can turn on/off.

I got to be honest. I really don't care about the federation part of Beehaw and would be quite happy to see it move to a non-federated solution. I mean, how is it even possible to comply with the GDPR when using federation?

Not to mention pay later credit card cr@#.

If that was the case though, I would have expected them to have announced it already 🤔. Nintendo doesn't strike me as the kind of company to show their hardware to the press long ahead of announcement.

Would be a bit weird as they own GOG.

Showing it to devs/publishers I can understand. Why would they be showing it to press though?

I encountered this at work today. I just assumed I couldn't turn it off. Will def be looking for that setting tomorrow.

Tencent....

That's all I needed to know.

Is this actually accurate though? From my understanding you had to "activate" threads access, and those who did this are those who have been counted in the numbers.

Ah, thanks for the correction.

Found this video really interesting as I have a relatively large backlog myself. Fortunately not nearly as large as this one.

Personally, I've only ever considered games I own to be part of my backlog, which makes my list much more manageable. That said, I have a large number of unplayed games on both Steam and GoG. So to start I've decided to play all my GoG games first (as that is still within reach). I've promised myself not to buy any more games untill all my GoG games are either completed or marked "did not finish" due to it not being my thing.

For anyone who played this as a kid, this video is really fascinating. Hope he keeps it up.

I'm looking for some fun PC games I can play with my wife/nephews. I'm therefore looking for PC games that support split screen with controller support. Any genre, but preferably games that can be played by someone no older than 12. Will be playing them on a ROG Ally connected to a TV with xbox controllers. Interested in any genre.

When I was a kid (I'm guessing 5), there was a house nearby where my grandma lived which had a statue of a small dog outside their house. The eyes on this statue were made of glass, and looked incredibly real. I remember standing there staring at the thing, extremely tempted to try and touch the eyes just so I could convince myself that the thing wasn't alive 🤣. I probably stood there for about 5 min before I finally got the courage to touch it and realized it was just glass.

I was convinced that thing was going to bite me when I touched it.

Retro Game Corps has just posted a 30 day review of the Ally. As someone who has pre-ordered I found it quite interesting. As expected, the major down side to this device is the battery. Fortunately, my main reason for purchasing this is to do some gaming on my commute to work. As I'm only on the subway for 25 min, this should cover my needs perfectly, regardless of the game I play.

Wondering if there are any good games out there which play like the original Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon games. Games where tactics are completely necessary to survive, and one shot will kill you.

Only looking for single player experiences.
