Like trying to make peace with Russia. It will only give them time to grow stronger, gain more control, and to direct our concerns elsewhere.
They want the status quo, and the status quo has always been killing us. Throughout human history. Yes it was worse in the past and elsewhere in the present. We shouldn't let those who buried the bar so long ago to determine how high we can lift ourselves up as a species.
Perhaps there is a better place we could be. A better way to live our lives. We will never find it if we let "what is" lord over our lives. We cannot let our past determine our future
