Gartska's main band is a progressive metal band but the drummer is a jazz drummer through and through. Just look up some of his workshops and playthroughs if you just want to see simply good drumming. Most progressive metal is basically heavy jazz.

I understand its different strokes for different folks and all, and appreciate you giving them a chance and responding.

Buddy Rich was good for his time and influential and all that, but the instrument has evolved so far since then.

Check out Matt Gartska and a band called Animals as Leaders for a great modern jazz drummer.

Not really. Just Sega CD. The PlayStation and the Saturn both came out in 1994 so they were directly competing with each other. The Dreamcast didn't come out until 1998, after the PlayStation was already successful.

I agree. It kind of sounds like a kids jingle, and it's just too simple compared to the rest of the album, which has some of the most intelligent songwriting ever.

Even our STDs have carcinized.

This is so true, mostly because we are spoiled by growing up with modern tools. We are many generations of tools separated from our roots. Standing on the shoulders of giants and all that.

On the other hand, if an EMP took out the grid and CAD disappeared, you can be damn sure engineers amongst us would be bashing rocks together and figure a lot of it out pretty quickly.

We will brute force anything as a species if we need to, we just mostly don't need to at the moment, and time is money.

I don't think the previous comment was saying to not do anything at all about a threat like that. Just that publicly humiliating them isn't the way to go about it.

The zillion part definitely made me lean towards sarcasm, but I guess I can never be too sure with all the brainrot and bots out there. The Red Scare still lingers.

Your mother was kind and intelligent enough to get satisfaction from the knowledge that she made someone's winter a bit more bearable. We should all strive to be like your mother.

I honestly can't tell if this is sarcastic or not. There are too many people out there that sound just like this.

In the timestamp he is shooting a cz75 at 200 yards. It still penetrates a pretty thick slab of wood. I still wouldn't want to be at the end of it. Plus, there are some rare freaks who can put some rounds on target at that range is all I was trying to add, really.

Wasn't trying to completely invalidate what you were saying by any means, just saying it isn't so cut and dry is all. In most cases, what you said is true for sure.
