Well, the boycott would be more in response to a recent patch that was released. The expectation would be that a show of low engagement due to the patch, at the start of the 1st season for the game, would necessitate a roll back of some of the changes - to be fair all I've read and seen is that the patch nerfed so much that people are dealing half the damage they used to, and getting less experience for their troubles. I'm early enough in the game that I likely can't even tell the difference, but for players in the end game, it's wild.

I'd also add that by the time you reach 30 minutes in VS, you're having to basically vaporized everything on the screen at once and then Death just one-shots me...I guess there is a way to beat that end-boss for a level? The difference is that the first time I made it to the 30 minute mark in HoT (which took comparatively much less time...maybe because I'm just more familiar with the style of game?), I at least had a fighting chance against the 1st map's boss, and your end-level builds seem leave more room for exploration. The quests or achievements I prefer to VS, and I also prefer the way items work (including the well) generally. VS is a fun game, but HoT really improves on it in many different ways, including the visuals/tone (which is very much Diablo-esque).
I probably wouldn't buy one now because of my extreme disdain for Musk, but also there are at least comparable alternatives available. Musk is a disaster, and maybe you can argue that if not Tesla, then some other vehicle would have jump started (heh) the EV movement, but I'll at least give Testa credit for helping make the EV as popular as it is now. All that said, I still don't own an EV because the last time I needed to buy a car it was still prohibitively expensive and I had no way to charge it overnight; I suppose there's a whole separate discussion on considering an expensive car you can't charge overnight because you rent an apartment that only has street parking and maybe the real need is to focus on a better housing solution before a new car...but anyways.
The real karma were the friends we made along the way
I think it's important to go through this process so that more visibility is placed on Reddit. I've deleted my account and am done with it, and I do think this may be the beginning of the end for that platform, but it's clear it won't go down without a fight and to suggest otherwise wildly underestimates how desperate Reddit's execs may become when faced with the possibility of the platform's demise. Even if it survives all of this, I think it and the perception of the platform will forever be changed.
As someone who enjoyed the "New Super Mario Bros." games, this looks absolutely fantastic. 2D Mario has always been my favorite, so I'm super pumped to see something new that's not "New". Even though I enjoyed the "New" I think it's time to move away from "New" to new. Ya know?
Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same.
