For me it would be the wise goblin man Yoda, an absolute classic jedi who spits truth and teaches the next generation about the force.

"Do or do not, there is no try" - Yoda, 1980

What about you, fellow jedi or sith, what character brings you closer to the force?

So some of you might have seen a trend as the Vatican announces their plans to bring god and anime on their side in real life.

The mascot is called Luce, cute anime girl with religious aspects to it.

But mama mia why did they do this for their event next year? It just seems totally unreal and I feel like I'm living in a simulation.

Never have i thought these zealous buggers would use anime influences in a bajillion years

I like wearing my thick jogger trousers as they are soft and comfy to go with socks, sometimes I'll even sleep with them on as they have a thicker fabric than most of my pyjamas.

Plus I when going for a grocery run I can wear them out with no fear of being the crazy outdoors pyjama man.

What are your favorite clothes to wear as winter creeps in indoors?

Greetings, I am asking whether Linux has helped your family or not going from Windows to a friendly distribution that caters to young or elderly.

How was your experience with helping relatives or your kids with Linux? Was it because of an older spec machine? Costs etc?

I helped get my grandmother (dad's side) to move from windows 8.1 to Linux Mint which so far has been good, she only really browses and required some basic budgeting apps.

This was on something like an older core i3 or i5 but I didn't hear that many problems apart from getting drivers for her Epson printer to work.

So how has it been for you?

For the Autobots - My favourite character is Grimlock, it's such a cool thing to have a transforming robot T Rex and that immediately made me like the character from G1 cartoon and the Fall of Cybertron game.

For tbe Decepticons - Brawl of the combaticons, I really like tanks and this character was drawn to me with his rugged, battle tested design in the games and films. Oh and the fact he turns into a friggin' tank.

Who more than meets the eye for you from each side?

Go!

So I've heard and seen the newest launch, and I thought for a private firm it seemed cool they were able to do it on their own, but I'm scratching my head that people are gushing about this as some hail mary.

I get the engineering required is staggering when it comes to these rocket tests, but NASA and other big space agencies have already done rocket tests and exploring bits of the moon which still astounds me to this day.

Is it because it's not a multi billion government institution? When I tell colleagues about NASA doing stuff like this yeaaaars ago they're like "Yea yea but this is different it's crazy bro"

Can anyone help me understand? Any SpaceX or Tesla fans here?

Currently I possess 3 :

Sony HX350 Bridge Camera - My first ever camera!

Nikon EM Series 1979 - Passed down from my uncle who was clearing some bits and bobs out his garage.

Nikon D5600 DSLR - I didn't want to break the bank and got this one on a good sale (And I like the Nikon UI for the camera more than the Sony one)

I enjoy taking two types of photographs :

Portraits of people outdoors and indoors - SoSometimes for a new profile picture.

Animals - I enjoy taking photographs birds, squirrels, zoo animals and my cat whenever he's in a good striking pose.

What about you? Are you into photography as a hobby or profession?

Mirko from the popular My Hero Academia anime/manga series.

She doesn't take crap from anyone and fearlessly goes into battle.

Not against the medium I consume it.

But it occurred to me that there seems to be a lot more exposure to anime and manga largely thanks to services like crunchyroll and manga reader services, this includes physical sales as well.

It's just that you'd think say, Superman would be more stupidly popular since everyone knows who he is than someone such as Lelouch from Code Geass.

Is it because comics just doesn't have the same spark with the younger generation? Or is it because there are a billion different issues of comics so it makes manga more streamlined?

I would like to know your thoughts as I am quite curious about this phenomenon, since even in the early 2000s I was into anime, and you could get your fix from non legit services via the Internet, but I'm sure as shit it didn't hit this mainstream until the mid 2010s and now the roaring 2020s.

So I'm having a pizza craze so I'd thought I'd ask you fellow pizza enjoyers what your preferences are.

For the crust - I prefer this to be deep pan as I find it more filling and a hearty meal. stonebaked and thinner crusts are okay but if it's too hard and crunchy and in the middle then I'm not a huge fan.

Stuffed crust? That shit is a luxury for me and is my 2nd fave.

Toppings - It's either the classic reliable pepperoni pizza or you razzle dazzle ham, mushrooms and slice of pepper for me.

Chicken and sweetcorn is nice, but I'd have it with a BBQ base rather than a normal tomato base.

Cheese layer - Don't really care, just don't make it cheap wax

Frozen/Fresh - I enjoy Morrisons "Market" range of pizzas, you get a hearty and decent sized pizza for not a bad price.

Frozen? It's either ALDI, Chicago and Icelands "NY" range for me as it does its job as a cheeky treat.

Fast food - Local pizzeria takeaways tbh, I like our local pizza takeaway who never, NEVER skimps out on the toppings. Absolute chad of a man I assure you.

So what are your preferences in these categories?

Do cats and dogs actually feel affection when you treat them right or is it really just an instinct for "more food and drink" etc?

I don't think I've ever seen dogs, cats and other domestic animals smile because they're happy and show love to their owners for treating them right.

Yeah I see memes but those are either photoshopped or snapped at the perfect moment to make it look like they're smiling.

I know there are lots of people that do not like Ubuntu due to the controversies of Snaps, Canonicals head scratching decisions and their ditching of Unity.

However my experience using Ubuntu when I first used it wasn't that bad, sure the snaps could take a bit or two to boot up but that's a first time thing.

I've even put it on my younger brothers laptop for his school and college use as he just didn't like the updates from Windows taking away his work and so far he's been having a good time with using this distro.

I guess what I'm tryna say is that Ubuntu is kind of the "Windows" of the Linux world, yes it's decisions aren't always the best, but at least it has MUCH lenient requirements and no dumb features from Windows 11 especially forced auto updates.

What are your thoughts and experiences using Ubuntu? I get there is Mint and Fedora, but how common Ubuntu is used, it seemed like a good idea for my bros study work as a "non interfering" idea.

Your thoughts?

Dear God... we've been lied to this whole time

Putting fruit on a delicious Italian treat is a crime against Italy, pizza and humankind.

It doesn't work and mesh well with cheese tomato and the dough as it has that opposite fruity taste compared to the savoury delights of a cheese pizza.

Sweetcorn? I can get by that, mushrooms? You're damn right I'll put mushrooms and ham on my pizza but FRUIT?!

Absolute lunacy, don't fall for the pineapple on pizza propaganda people

Bit rude, Whilst I understand tech changes and evolves, some are literally the Just Works meme and don't need to be rapidly changed.

Is OpenRC meant to be faster than systemD as a process system? I've been thinking of spinning up some non systemD distros like Artix on a VM on a mini DELL tinbox.

I will say though, I am not an advanced Linux user as the distros I've used were :

Ubuntu Endeavour OS SpiralLinux (Easy Mode Debian)

Would I need to make configurations in openrc or can it just run without messing with it like systemD?

Thank you

You're right I did, I completely forgot about them and it's down to the fact that I've not seen a single LC in my city, I should mention the city isn't like London or Manchester in terms of size.
