One minor ammendment for me - I wish for equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. Anyone else?

The pace at which applications are improving the Lemmy experience is astounding. Connect just added a subscriber count when looking for a community to subscribe to. I haven't checked reddit in days.

Do the display names actually change how your name appears in posts? I remember trying it some time ago, but it still defaulted to the original username.
For reference, I'm using Connect and it only shows 'WowSpider'. I would definitely prefer to see the full address, but I imagine this will only become an issue as Lemmy grows in popularity.
Secretly hope that the door doesn't open between the current floor and selected floor. I just want to get to my destination in peace.
In conjunction with this methodology, I highly recommend the app Way of Life. There's something very motivating about not breaking the damn chain.
