It doesn't really make sense for them to destroy what little leverage they have like that.

I’m mad that the Gmail icon is no longer an envelope, but other than that they’re fine.

Yeah, I can’t find the raw numbers which is unfortunate, but I think my point stands. The study you linked is different, 60% of Americans as a whole opposed to just Democrats.

Among Democrats who actually care about the issue, the majority want restrictions on arms to Israel. This is admittedly whittling things down a bit, but these are the people the Democrats need to win over. There’s a path to victory by getting a coalition of progressives + people who don’t really care. The die-hard “let’s kill more Palestinians” people are just going to vote Republican either way and trying to pander to them is a losing strategy.

Can you link that poll please? I’ve seen it as well, but can’t find it again.

I’m pretty sure you’re misrepresenting it, one of the options was “uncertain” at around 35%. “doing too much” was the predominant view.

This is akin to saying “only 30% of Americans voted for Joe Biden and he somehow still won” neglecting to mention that you’re including non voters.

Combination of Peter Thiel’s money and Trumps endorsement.

I used to love Simpsons Wrestling, because I didn’t know any better. I think I was too young to really grasp the concept of a “bad game” yet.

Its still fun to spin up in a nostalgic sort of way.

Seriously, this speech might as well have come from Biden.

There was a lot of excitement around her possibly being a departure from Biden’s agenda, and this speech was supposed to show us who she is and how she’ll govern. We got an incredibly right-wing speech after she rode on a wave of progressive momentum. I suspect that momentum will slow now. Leave it to Democrats to shoot themselves in the foot at every turn.

Wii was Revolution. Can't remember WiiU

You were correct. PSUs be weird.

I purposely went with Seasonic because I did not want to run into power supply issues, but here we are.

Got a new one and am up and running

Finally fixed it, turns out it was the PSU.

No idea why it was testing fine, but I tried a different one in my machine and everything works fine :D

I'm aware of that, but when the founder and main host is spreading false and misleading information on the show, it calls into question the whole enterprise.

I do occasionally tune in to episodes not hosted by him, with some skepticism if the issue is in any way politically charged.

Canadaland has lost a lot of credibility with me after all the shit Jesse Brown has been spewing post October 7.

I won’t deny that their coverage of this issue has been good though

UPDATE: I fixed it!! It was the PSU.

So I just built my first PC in like 20 years. Everything was going fine, I was installing Windows and got to the network setup step and my wifi was having trouble staying connected. I figured it was because I hadn't set up drivers yet, so I thought whatever, no problem, I'll just move it by my router and plug in an ethernet cable.

So I powered off and moved it, and...dead. Nothing is happening when I hit the power button. No fans, no lights, nothing. I've made sure no cables got jiggled loose or anything. Maybe I shorted something somewhere on the motherboard? I can't see anything without fully disassembling and having to rebuild it. I really don't want to do that, but I guess I'll have to unless I'm missing something obvious. I'll test the PSU tomorrow but I doubt it's that, these are all brand new parts.

Any ideas?

Specs:

AMD 7800X3D

ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi

Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7800 XT

2 x 16GB Crucial DDR5 RAM

Seasonic GX-850 PSU
