So, here we'll talk about the following ways to flash ISOs:

Probably fine if you just want to install a single OS once and be done with things. But if you plan on dedicating a flash drive to be your Linux install media for the foreseeable future, just use Ventoy: https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html

"People" refers to a group of humans as a unit. "Persons" also refers to a group, but puts emphasis on the individuality of the humans in the group.

If they didn’t give permission then he has rewritten the code.

How does that work? Like, refactoring?

I initially thought this was one of those things where someone takes an actual comic and changes the text to make a different narrative. But this inscrutable mess seems to be the original...

Are any of those things that you actually deal with as a beginner, though? Sure, those add complexities, but by the time you start to get into them, you are probably no longer a beginner.

Obviously the blue part is land

I do the same at work just because we don't get an image editor, and PowerPoint can just do some things better than any other tool that I do have at my disposal.

Back in the day, when Reddit was a thing, I always wanted some sort of dynamic curated block list. If I were to subscribe to the "sports" block list, then all the current sports subs would be added to my filters. Every time a new sports sub gets created, users have the ability to add that new sub to the dynamic "sports" list. At that point, everyone else that is subscribed to that "sports" list gets that new sub added to their filters automatically.

In this example, some commenters are joking around and placing angle brackets (less than, greater than) around their comment's text. As a result, the comment text does not display.

It does display in a web browser or Voyager. Raccoon also does not render the comments, though strangely it does render that last comment in the chain. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the comment includes an apostrophe and comma, unlike the others.

Slightly confusing, and not necessarily directly piracy-related. I run OpenVPN on my Netgear router that allows me to connect to devices on my home network while I am away from home. It works great for most devices, but I cannot connect to any devices that are running Mullvad VPN. Disabling Mullvad on those devices allows me to connect. Also, if I SSH into a device that does not run Mullvad, I can use that SSH session to then communicate with those Mullvad devices. Any ideas?

Is anyone else's Deck not rumbling much at all? When it comes to things like using the trackpads, the haptics work as expected for me. But in terms of game rumble, it feels like the haptics motors are dying or something. They rumble ever-so-slightly. Nearly imperceptible. For instance, a game like Hades. When using an external controller, every time I attack, I get a healthy controller rumble. But when playing on the Deck itself, I can really only feel it if I have a finger on one of the touchpads (which is directly over the motors). And even then, it is weaker than what I experience when using the trackpad as a mouse in desktop mode or something. I have tried multiple games, and get the same pitiful rumble in each.

What really confuses me is that I just got a new Deck via RMA, and the rumble experience is exactly the same. Any ideas? Anyone else experience the same?

Since this app updates so often and it takes so long for app stores to have the latest update available, it would make sense to have a link to Obtainium right next to the links for F-Droid, Google Play, and the GitHub release page. Slide for Lemmy does something similar, though it is arguably more important there, as the app is not available on any store yet.
