Why do people like crt shaders in the retroarch community. There's so many videos about it. Is it a product of their time or are non-crt experiencers doing it? (mastodo.neoliber.al)

Maybe it's a way for their smoothening upscaling shaders to look more pixelated and retro?

@A32topsL I use -S "codec" to download av1 then failing that vp9..... but seems to be impossible now :(

@A32topsL Yeah but for most other videos they download the best but for some God-given already downloaded videos it forces 360p (my commandline)

@A32topsL That doesn't download av1 by default no? I've also downloaded some of the videos before with no problems

yt-dlp -S youtube-link always downloads 360p videos but not on newly downloaded videos even when those same videos download best video quality via command yt-dlp link. I have ffmpeg. Does yt-dlp have a history I can clear or a config reset because I can't make sense of this regression happening otherwise since it's not due to updates.

Can't you log in to Jerboa using a Mastodon account and log in using a Mastodon app like Moshidon to log in to lemmy? How would that work? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

The fedi community and app remains confusing to me. I don't know if they're separate federated communities or linked ones and if it's linked if they are seamless. I don't know how many levels of complexity I haven't even considered. Maybe you can only log in through Jerboa sometimes because I can't with my account.
