Well of course, because it's spinning too fast. So you don't see the star shape, only the blurry circle!

Remember once you get around compiling all the cadaveric sources you need to use the proper formatting style for reanimated corpses, not just any style

No, if anything it's the opposite, there are foods (mostly junk foods and beverages) I used to love as a kid but now I find revolting. Most other veg and controversial foods like olives or blue cheese were always on my yes list though.

I do have some things i didn't like that now I tolerate, but saying that I love them or like them is a stretch. I think coffee is one, I drink some and can even get addicted to it but I don't consider myself a lover. Another example is eggplant, I used to hate it as a kid and now I tolerate it without loving it.

I'm sorry for you having to endure the whole ordeal but 110k serves her right then. I hope that covered all the losses, did you get to use any of that money for something wholesome or just bills?

[–] Mothra@mander.xyz 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Right, thanks. I thought it was making reference to some media piece or something else

Hot damn. So she had the money, she just didn't want to pay, didn't get a shred of remorse about you after the attack?

I don't understand n 4, it's whooshing me loudly

Oh this image took forever to load. Meanwhile I was imagining everything in the same dish

Wow I would have thought if everyone had food and shelter then we would have more pornography, not less. And I'd also wager we would have better quality porn too. Along with better quality of a lot of other things really

Rotavirus immunity is partial. You only need to come in contact with a strain too different from whatever your vaccine or childhood exposure was and you'll catch it again.

I got the vaccine as a child, and yet I caught it in my early 30s for the first time after moving to another country. Have you seen The Exorcist? I didn't know projectile vomit was a thing for real until then. I also didn't know about projectile diarrhoea. I wish I was still ignorant of these things

Funny, if you ask me about tea in general, I think of it as essentially an asian thing with a couple "regular" or "plain" western varieties. I guess it's marketing doing justice to history for once?

Spicy chai latte

Preferably an active one? Thanks

I keep seeing it on my random feed suggestions and this is using NewPipe, so it has nothing to do with my actual YouTube activity (I think. Nothing there is stuff I'm interested in, with very few exceptions). So I've ignored it first, then I watched like two and was super confused. Wtf. These videos have millions of views and I don't even understand the name or what's the appeal.

I'm looking for easy-to-listen-to fiction audiobooks. Something I can tune in while doing other stuff without getting distracted.

I find some authors have styles that are a bit more sophisticated than others. The more thought-provoking, the more difficult I find to enjoy an audiobook while doing something else. I catch myself stopping whatever I'm doing to pay attention to the book, which is not what I want.

So for example I've found The Witcher books very easy to listen to, it wouldn't matter if I missed a few seconds and I never found myself stopping to ponder about the text itself. The narrator was great too. Also bonus points as it was a long saga of books.

In contrast I would never want to listen to a Terry Pratchett book while doing something else. He's probably my favourite English author but I find he's too much of a genius, and my poor brain wouldn't be able to digest it all if I'm not giving it my attention 100%.

I hope this makes sense?

How's your experience with audiobooks?

As the title says. I thought that was brilliant on Reddit, just checking people's profiles would lead to some cool discoveries of communities I would have never thought of by myself.

Is this a feature somewhere?

Edit: of course users have the option to not show these, no I don't want to violate anyone's privacy

Ahoy! I know this has been asked a lot already, I've been following up and doing some research online but I'm still confused. Sorry.

1-I'm not exactly tech savvy. (Ok. I'm thick as a brick) 2-I'm a very casual BitTorrent user. I'll go months without torrenting.

3-I do stream more frequently.

4-I travel often, meaning I don't often have admin access to the networks I connect to

I currently have Nord. I heard it's no longer as trusted as it used to, and since my subscription is ending I'm wondering if I should jump ship.

I read I should be using Port Forwarding, and I get the concept of it somewhat but I'm still not sure if I need it (considering my casual torrent use, so far... I've been ok?), and also, I have no idea how to set that up. (would #4 be a problem?).

Now, VPN: Mullvad, AirVPN, and Proton seem to be the most reliable ones. Is that right?

Air has good pricing atm, and port forwarding. I heard it's not too user friendly though? (#1)

Mullvad seems to have a solid rep. but no port forwarding (It used to? Their website doesn't say much unless I create an account?)

Proton: has PF, seems good too

Or should I just stick with Nord?

TLDR which VPN should I go for considering 1,2,3,4, and should I consider port forwarding in my decision?

Thanks

So I keep seeing these referenced in various media formats but I don't recall ever seeing one on the menu where I live (Australia). Maybe they are sold under a different name? Maybe only in some places and I wasn't paying attention? I don't know, but I sure know I've never ordered one.

Am I missing out? What do these taste like? What's the hype all about?

Also- is there a popular food/drink you aren't against trying, that you haven't tried yet?

I've never had a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I guess I could go to ask lemmy or no stupid questions, and ask what does it taste like or of I'm missing out on something but that doesn't really feel like what those places are for.

So, is there any community you think I could start a conversation about that?

Hi Lemmings. Just wondering if you have any recommendations for this. I used to work with Clockify but I'm wondering, since there is a solid FOSS userbase here, if you know of a good, simple, offline, reliable no-frills app that tracks time spent working and can actually tell if I'm idle/afk .

Thanks!

Keyword artist , or band/group name. I'm not looking for a genre, I want to search artists. Tell me about someone you like listening to.

Would appreciate if it's Not symphonic/orchestral movie/videogame OST. I know there is a lot of really good music in this category but I'm trying to avoid recommendations like Hans Zimmerman or Jeremy Soule or Enya etc., since they are either really well known or fall into the orchestral and/or "epic music score" I'm not looking for.

It's OK if some tracks have vocals or even some lyrics/voice samples but I prefer to keep them at a minimum.

Any suggestions? TIA

I made a mistake, and bought a bag of muesli thinking it was cereal clusters. There is nobody else to blame other than my stupidity.

I don't think I know how to eat this thing. It's practically rolled oats with bits of fruit and nuts and all bran kind of cereals added in the mix but hardly noticeable.

I tried eating it like cereal, adding it to yoghurt or milk. It tastes like insipid cardboard flakes sprinkled with fruit. I tried cooking porridge with it, that was an improvement but I still find it boring.

Perhaps you have some suggestions on how to actually enjoy eating what's left of it? Bonus points if you know how to make it crunchy.

Thanks

Edit: I don't typically add sugar to things or even buy sugary cereal. My problem with this thing is the texture first and foremost. Thanks for your concern on how much processed foods I don't buy or like are harming my life.

Such a long title.

Basically I'm wondering if this happens IRL, and how. I've heard countless stories of people who hold a grudge against family members /ex partners/ ex friends/ neighbours etc. for years, and they do horrible things to each other. Or maybe just the cold shoulder can be rough especially for such a long time. But not so many stories of people in these situations who suddenly talk things out unexpectedly, out of their own will and not because they kept getting nagged about whatever happened.

I've also heard about people who screw up big once, never acknowledge or apologize, then everyone puts the episode behind and moves on. But I've never heard about suddenly this person perhaps decades afterwards just actually addressing their screw up and apologizing.

So, have you ever received one of these big, unexpected apologies? Or have you ever apologized for something you did you never thought you would want or dare to apologize for?

I'm a very casual sailor, and not very tech savvy, but I've torrented and used magnet links in the past with no issues.

I found the file I'm looking for. But things have changed. The site I used doesn't provide magnets anymore, only Rapidgator links (split into 5 rar files, this is going to take me days) for direct downloads .

Every other link I found sends me to torrent trackers I need to create an account for, such as RuTracker. Which I tried, and with different emails, (brand new emails) yet every time I get rejected. Why? What am I doing wrong? Do I need to wait a couple of hours after creating the account? Are the sites not accepting registrations anymore?
