Definitely not, no. It was a high quality product to begin with, so mods weren't as needed/wanted.

I'm glad you can play Fallout 4 without mods. I really just use mods that make the experience better than vanilla such as:

The AWFUL dialogue options they did for Fallout 4
The bad voice acting for my character
The lack of options for character creation
The lack of diversity between characters and the armor/guns they use And any cool clothing/armor/weapon mods I would like to use or add to my companions
OH and changes to the AI for the companions and enemies to make them just a wee bit better than just standing there in the open like a fool

The Witcher 3 has had plenty of very good mods, though. And modding is so important to people that CDPR is releasing a whole ass modding kit, so...

Without mods, Bethesda's games would not have been so consistently played since:

2011 for Skyrim's FIRST release
2014 for Fallout 4's FIRST release

Saying that mods aren't important, is actually kind of weird. Without those mods keeping the games afloat through the internet ether, they would not be AS popular as they are today.

People STILL play Fallout 3 and New Vegas TO THIS DAY, because of mods that LITERALLY allow the game to be played as crash free as possible.

From that context, I would assume mods are pretty damn important for these games.

I still remember watching their debate, live, and Biden running circles around that fucking idiot because all he could do was jibber jabber nonsense, and continually kept talking over Biden during Biden's turn. I then had people try to tell me that Biden was too old to debate, that Trump ran circles around Biden, and that Trump had taken the win for the debate.

It was at this time, where I fully became radicalized. I realized that the reality that I watched in real time, was not the same reality that these people were in.

Anyway, I'm assuming Biden will still run circles around Trump, whether he be there or not. Maybe this time, Biden will actually get to use his time to talk without the orange fucking idiot opening his.

I mainly use the Deck to play retro titles, and use my desktop rig to play newer or more demanding games. It was worth every penny, thanks to being so easy to set up for the retro games!

In my opinion, the best way to ensure your game stays relevant for YEARS after its release is to incorporate mod support in any way, whether it be Steam mods, or something like Nexus mods. Both would be preferable, but anything is better than nothing.

How many people would still be playing Skyrim today if there were absolutely no mods allowed like some games?

How many would be playing GTA 5, or even RDR 2 without SOME kind of mods making it more enjoyable or completely different?

Just allow your games to be modded, and support mod development, and your game will go down in history, I am almost positive of.

This new Bitwarden 2FA does backup and restore! It was also important to me, as I had a phone stolen one time and without my backed up "emergency codes", I'd been SOL! :)

Reading through these comments... yikes guys. I use TikTok sometimes, and love the content it provides that YouTube does not provide. Seeing the straight up hate for the app, mixed with the misunderstanding of what the app CAN be if you actually use it, is chilling to say the least. If they were banning ALL social media apps, and their companies, I'd be all for this. As it is, I can not see why you would all be cheering so hard for TikTok to be sold to some American asshole, just for it to start getting enshittified, and then STILL sell your data to Russia, China, and anyone else who wants a slice. The fact you are all hating on TikTok so much, but not questioning our own American social media companies, and wanting them to be banned too, is frightening.

I've seen a few comments saying it is spyware. On iOS at least, there is an icon that pops up to let you know when an app is using your camera or microphone. Not only that, but when you start an app for the first time, it has to request to you the user if you want to allow it access to these things. I said no, of course, because when I first started using it, I fucking hated TikTok. Turns out, when you use it for like a week, it starts to get REALLY good at delivering content you want to see.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, as I'm sure plenty of you will disagree, complain, and then go on using your American owned social medias, that are still hoovering up and selling your data.

The only differences being that China wasn't making a cent out of me, nor do any of these equally shitty American social medias. Oh well, I guess we just really love our own little national narratives.

Considering how much time and effort NexusMods has put into creating a very good website to host the mods, AND a very good mod manager (not the first iteration, that was really bad) to download and install the mods, I have nothing but respect for them. Granted, I bought a lifetime from them, because I had been using the site since I was a child learning what modding even was. Now, when I tell me friends about how easy it is to grab a Collection, and it installs everything the way it needs to be so you can just get to gaming, I love them even more. Getting people to try modding their games was frustrating as hell before because not everyone spent their entire adolescent free time on the computer trying to install mods that were never going to be playable because you were too young to understand why your computer was not powerful enough to run it!

Hi! The art direction is definitely one of the top selling points. The gameplay is the top, art direction second, story is third. That is my opinion at least, as the story kind of shoehorned you into choices I didn't want to make, but I understand it is not my story. It is the story of Jin that I have a little wiggle room to change up slightly.

For anyone not wanting to play 76, and to try Fallout 3/New Vegas for the first time, or for a different run, I HIGHLY encourage you to get the Tale of Two Wastelands mod. Once set up (I got ALL the optional mods that they have a link to or something) you will have a better experience than vanilla Fallout 3, and more cohesion between the gameplay of FO3 and NV.

We, as in the people who have seen this shit before, and refuse to fall for it.

There's some reading for you to do, so that you understand the risks involved with letting some asshat company, who does not give a flying fuck about you, have even more leverage on the internet than they already do.
