I've thought about doing it for the laughs, just make up the most ridiculous stuff and just the word China all over it and the Chinese flag. Make it rich.

I lived there for two years for work. I took a class at a local university to learn something I needed and there was a military recruiter at a table in the front building entry way every day. I told him my cousin is in the PLA and they probably wouldnt want me. He stopped try to talk to me going forward.

It's dumb but don't pretend like you haven't come across a maoist that is exactly like this lmao

I think communists should avoid orthodoxy and weird gate keeping. If you fight for what I believe, support liberation, advocate for a just and equitable society where the proles run shit and we push towards truly egalitarian society free of suffering, you are my friend and likely my ally regardless of what you believe or don't believe about God or gods.

Also, contradictions are inherent in all things, having a materialist view on the world while believing deeply in my diety is something I struggle with from time to time, but in the end, the contradictions don't stop me from being a Marxist, and for advocating and fighting for the world we all want, so it doesn't really matter I think.

Israel dropped a new website full of graphic images supposedly done by the Palestinians. So that's fun.

My great grandfather was a literal feudal serf.. 70 years ago.. It's gonna take time on that sadly. I think this current generation is the first to be truly "modern" (whatever that means.)

Decline is inevitable if history is considered proof, however history demonstrates the death of empires takes many generations, in some cases, hundreds of years. So, while it may be declining, it doesn't mean it's going to be gone in five years, it will likely take decades.

Millions of people, that's with a "low-yield" 150kt bomb which the US has like 1500 of or more. US has 7Mt bombs, 10 millon people dead for the lulz. Psychopaths.

My knowledge on the star in Vietnam at least is each point represents a group of people: proletariat, peasantry, military, intellectuals, and petty bourgeoisie.

The sheer amount of voting that takes place in China would make you shit your pants.

Some comrades also have disabilities.

Xi's Message of Peace:

Competition among major countries is not the theme of this era and does not solve the problems faced by China, the U.S., and the world, Chinese President Xi Jinping told U.S. President Joe Biden.

Planet Earth is big enough for both China and the U.S. to succeed, Xi said, adding that one country's success is an opportunity for the other.

Xi said he looks forward to an in-depth exchange of views with President Biden on major strategic, overall and directional issues related to China-U.S relations and world peace and development, and reaching a new consensus.

Wanted to share this in general outside of the megathread, is a incredible piece of information that should be shared around broadly, high quality work from AL Jazeera.
