I had just graduated high school. The nostalgia is heavy with this one. I was mostly into PC gaming at the time, but I remember playing ED on Gamecube. Those "insanity" effects were really neat.

Most ot the users here still have Facebook/Instagram accounts they use daily. They like to talk up the fediverse but also post minion memes to their grandma. It's kinda sad, but it is what it is, and that's why you see so many Meta defenders.

Because tons of Lemmy/Kbin users are still addicted to Facebook/Instagram. They'll defend their drug dealer to the death.

That’s not why sh.itjust.works was defederated from Beehaw. It was defederated for having open signups resulting in moderation issues and botting. This thread is an affirmation that it was a good call since they now have toxic users creating toxic communities which is part of the reason for defederation.

You’re creating a problem that doesn’t exist to get mad at it.

This release has cemented my belief that Mlem will be the default iOS Lemmy experience. Incredible work on display here. To everyone at the Mlem team thank you so much and can’t wait to see what the future is for Mlem!!

Lovely to hear more about the team. Congrats on the latest release and looking forward to the future of Mlem!

The opening cinematic to Quake II is a banger. I love it.

I learned a new word today! Thank you.

This is a Beehaw community. I’m referring to Beehaw.

Says more about admins honestly. Sh.itjust.works is going to become a sh.it.hole.

The admin of sh.itjust.works has been approached but as of yet has failed to reply to concerned Lemmy users. I’m glad Beehaw admins look out for us by cutting off instances that host communities like this.

Happy birthday, Sonic! The original Sonic the Hedgehog released over 30 years ago today for the Sega Mastersystem. I'm getting old.

The Apple Pro Mouse remains the most beautiful mouse ever made. I miss when electronics had more personality. Now companies just slap gaudy RGB on everything and call it a day.

Of all the things I miss most about the Xbox 360 it's the Xbox LIVE Arcade. It was such a good storefront with a curation of fantastic titles. Their Summer of Arcade event was something I looked forward to every year.

There is a pixelfed account that posts exclusively Game Boy camera images. Coolest thing I’ve seen in some time.

Can't stop thinking about this cereal commercial from the 90s. For whatever reason it pops up in my head randomly and without warning.

Cozy mornings in the Fediverse. 😌

Easily the best part of the film. This was one of my favorites growing up in the 90s.

Vernissage is an absolutely stunning minimalistic Pixelfed application for iOS that put PHOTOS front and center. No cluttered UI. No instagram UX design. No videos. Just gorgeous images captured by your friends in the fediverse.

With the official Pixelfed app TestFlight beta being full this app is just as good a way to get started in Pixelfed.

Note: Pixelfed is the Fediverse version of Instagram. It’s been getting quite popular with one of the best developers in the space helming the project (https://mastodon.social/@dansup)

My favorite Quake title is being remastered! One of my most nostalgic PC titles from the 90s. Finally a remaster I’m excited about.

Fantastic movie! I've been righting one of my cinema sins by finally viewing this trilogy of films by Rob Zombie. I'm planning on watching 3 From Hell tomorrow to cap it off, and judging by how good the first 2 were I'm excited.
