There's nothing wrong with your outfit and it looks very professional in the role you are interviewing for. A tie will help to push the look a bit further if it's within your means, but definitely not required.

There has been a lot of great advice on this thread from knowledgeable people. You should listen to them. To add my two cents, I worked as tier 2 support for years and was in the hiring meetings for many applicants. In a lot of ways how you approach problems and how you communicate are going to be more important than raw technical skills. Every business is unique and has a unique setup, but as long as you have good fundamentals they can teach you what you need to know. Soft skills are something that can't be taught as easily though and are usually what they are looking for.

The fact that you care enough to genuinely ask the internet about small details says a lot about how much you care and I'm sure that will come through in the interview. Good luck and I'm rooting for you!

Coincidentally I created a ChatGPT account today for the purpose of saving time writing my cover letters. Do you mind sharing your wisdom with what works for you with your creation prompts?

I've been super conflicted on starting a P3 FES playthrough with the remake on the horizon. I entered into the series with Persona 4 and loved it but never got the chance to try the earlier entries. I know I can mod to change it but the aspect of not being able to control your other characters was always a huge turnoff for me. Maybe I'll finally just jump into Yakuza: Like a Dragon instead since it's been burning a hole through my backlog

Everyone's playing it these days for a reason. The game is the definition of replayability and when a new(successful) colony can give you an engaging experience for dozens of hours it's always a staple in my library when I don't know what else to play. The game is variable and engaging from start to finish with just vanilla alone and adding the vibrant modding community just makes it that much better.

I have thought about this song on occasion many times over the years but could never find it after a half-assed search. Thank you for sharing this remnant of my childhood 🫡

I woke up this morning with a bad hangover and my penis was missing again. This happens all the time. It's detachable.

I haven't seen any egregious offending bots here on Lemm.ee. All the bots I've blocked have come from Lemmy.World so far.

I agree that it's not necessary and as a refugee I would far prefer to see fewer, but more quality posts with actual engagement. Recreating the current Reddit experience also recreates the current Reddit issues. I've found more legitimately interesting things in the past couple of weeks here than I have in a long time on Reddit so far.

This is the correct answer for those that are curious. I've blocked any bot that just crossposts links because it's just not what I want to see here on Lemmy and my experience has been far better. The auto crossposts rarely have any level of discussion on them which is what drives the platform.

People in general have a hard time conceptualizing how large and empty space is. With our current propulsion technology it will take longer than the human lifespan, barring any absolutely groundbreaking cryonics developments, to reach even the Oort cloud of our own solar system.

I think in the next century, a reasonable goal is to have small sparsely manned mining outpost settlements on Mars. There's enough financial incentive where I could see a future where it happens.

As the original comment implied, AP News and Reuters are reasonably unbiased in reliable in terms of their coverage. They do have a US focus so a lot of the pieces need to be read through that specific lens. Sometimes the omission of information is just as important and what is included.

This is how I do it as well. In general, understanding the overall bias of each news organization is more important to keeping yourself informed. You can combat the echo chamber effect by knowing what the biases of each source is and using differing sourcing to try to get as complete a picture as you can.

I would add to your list to check BBC, Al Jazeera, and NPR if you're US focused.
